Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) called the GOP presidential field “losers” and compared Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to a “lump of coal” in a Wednesday interview.
Reid said he wasn’t worried that Hillary Clinton doesn’t have a significant challenger in the Democratic primary.
“I am not a big fan of primaries,” he said. “I don't think they help, especially when you're someone as noted as Hillary.” He was less kind to the Republican contenders.
“I don't really care,” he said, when asked about the GOP field. “I think they're all losers."
Reid said McConnell, the Senate GOP leader, thinks coal is “the salvation of the world.”
Reid told CNBC that he wouldn’t criticize McConnell for sending a letter to governors saying that the Environmental Protection Agency’s climate regulations were illegal.
“I don’t criticize McConnell for doing that,” Reid said. “He comes from a coal state. I don’t mean to be mean spirited, but he is a lump of coal. He believes that coal is the salvation of the world. I don’t believe that.”

Remind me, where did Reid graduate law school from and what were his grades there? How many Supreme Court cases has he tried?
That might apply to Santorum and Fiorina.
I don’t why these two are running for POTUS after both lost their bids for the US Senate then moved out of their home states to live in the DC Beltway.
I think its time to seriously start questioning whether Harry Reid is suffering the onset of Alzheimer’s disease.
I despise Harry. One of the most corrupt people in history.
He runs his mouth and doesn’t give a flying #$%# what anyone thinks. He calls people names, makes false accusations and has enjoyed a very fine lifestyle on the backs of the people in NV an America. He has fought hard for his morally bankrupt backers who have supported his re-elections.
I wish the GOP had a few people willing to fight as hard for the GOOD, as this old SOB has for the bad.
I just sit back and smile because he got the crap beat out of him. Makes me feel better.
Goes to show what a fool McConnell has been thinking that Dingy Harry is actually his pal.
