Hi. My name is Erika Smalley. I grew up in Iowa and am currently a student at Kirkwood Community College.
That’s the same place that Hillary Clinton visited on her first campaign stop to my state. I went there to see if I could meet Hillary:

I was trader on the commodities exchange when she walked about ten years ago. She has a way of beaming that sends the message, "Yes, I AM the center of the universe; that is why you LOVE me!"
Notwithstanding that mojo, the coffee ring broke out in a rousing chant of "Hillary sucks! Hillary sucks!".
She couldn't even fool them, and that was back when she was only a...well, a one-hit wonder cattle trader and the senator wife of an adulterous ex president.

Are you sure it wasn't 1960? That's when he ran for pres. the first time.
I saw Kennedy give a very short speech in La Crosse, Wisc. the same year. My parents were strong Democrats. His plane stopped at the La Crosse airport. There was a dais for Kennedy to speak right next to his plane. He spoke for about one half hour or less and then went back on the plane and took off. I don't remember a thing he said. But I was only ten at the time.
The crowd was fairly large, and my family and I were about one hundred yards away. My mother took some pictures, but I don't know what happened to them.
Nixon gave a speech in La Crosse as well, but he did a motorcade thing and gave a speech in downtown La Crosse.
