Your asking the wrong questions in regards to correct ranges. The earth doesn’t give a damn if humans live on it. It will spin around the sun if it is a scorched desert, or an organic Eden. The real questions should be what are man’s requisite ranges for survival.

I know more than one person who works every day, and is in this situation. He could benefit from this experience. Like maybe, learn the distress caused when the price of potatoes goes up 10 cents a pound. Or the price of gasoline skyrockets, and she has to buy gas just to get to work and make this paltry sum.
