Ouch, they haven't left a mark, they are just probably speaking America's inner zeitgeist.
What did Hewitt say?
There’s possibly a larger strategy: bad press early is still press, which, for Dems, is better than none. Just the constant mention of her name, in any context, will keep her profile large in the mind of her base. Then there will be the day when there is nothing new or clever for the MSM, even SNL, to say about her. Then she’s still out there running while others, if any. are still putting on their track suits. Then suddenly she’s The Second Coming of the Comeback Kid (Bill was the first, of course) and the she’ll be the experienced campaigner with gravitas, blah-blah, ad nauseum.
She’s still the same stale box of Fruit Loops she always was, but the Dem base and, more importantly, the Media won’t care. No one can say they didn’t take their swipes at her—18 months before the election.
