On April 11 Breitbart News talked with GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump about guns and gun rights.
When asked why it is important to defend the Second Amendment, Trump said:
It is so important that we maintain the Second Amendment and that we maintain it strongly. And one of the main reasons is because the good people, the upstanding people, follow laws and norms but the bad ones dont. So if the Second Amendment werent there to protect our rights and someone tampered with them, the good people would be affected but the bad people wouldnt carethey couldnt care less.
It is absolutely imperative that we maintain the Second Amendment in its strongest form.

Maybe the GOP ought to nominate a Jeb/Romney again, and a third-party Cruz could have a real chance. Because of the GOP actually does nominate Cruz, Trump will be waiting as a "serious" third-party alternative.
What an ugly web we weave when we vote for leftist Republicans -- and I've voted for my share.
“strongest form”
It would be good to hear him define this.
Does he mean in the strongest form that no hunting or sporting purposes should ever be infringed?
Or does he mean in the strongest form no weapons of any type shall be infringed?
Usually when Trump says he’sso against something he’s for it. No one should trust this Obama-serving idiot.
Donald Trump: We Must Maintain 2nd Amendment In Its Strongest Form
DUH!...
I have zero problems with Trump running. He is very upfront and honest about what he thinks and he doesn’t care who likes it. He never backs down or apologizes. We need some in your face guys who don’t squish out under the MSM criticism. Cruz wont, Trump won’t. Rand Paul is holding his own. The rest remain to be seen.
Right now my one and two are Cruz and Trump.
I’m not going to vote for him, but I welcome anyone who makes any kind of pro 2nd amendment statement.
It will be really awesome if he came out and said, “I don’t really need it. This amendment isn’t so much for me. I have security guards. They carry weapons, so I know I’m OK. Obama, Hillary, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks — all those people are very well protected. But ordinary citizens need to look out for themselves. The second amendment is for average Americans. It’s important. And you should not listen to rich celebrities who tell you it’s a bad thing. Because it’s a good thing.”

Well said.
If somebody offered me a deal that said Donald Trump would win the 2016 Presidential election, I would take that deal.
Not my ideal candidate, but he’s certainly ahead of Jeb Bush, and Rand Paul.
Right now my preference would be:
1. Cruz
2. Walker
3. Trump
I’d say Palin, but I don’t think she’ll run. Ben Carson would work for me, too. Rubio would be acceptable, too.
How many states have "sore loser" laws?
I assume Cruz is going to be on the ballot in a lot of R primaries.
He has always legally carried a gun, as far as I remember. So did William F. Buckley.
He was referring to the 2nd Amendment, which does not mention hunting.
Donald "The Brow" Trump is full of sh!t. He'll continue to stroke his ego a while and then bail out...just like before. Instant replay!! Fagetabouthim.
By calling attention to a well regulated militia, the security of the nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.President John F. Kennedy

Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible.
Vice President and Senator Hubert H. Humphrey
How has he been obama-serving? If anything he’s been of considerable annoyance to obama over the years.
That would be mandatory RPG, 50cal machine guns and an M1 Abrahms or F16 in every yard.
Everything he did aided Obama. He distracted attention from Obama’s political failures by talking about nonsense. The fact that Obam’s policy failures were off the table in 2012 was the best thing that happened to him. He should give Trump a medal. Trump also interfered With the Republican primary while having no intention of running. This former Democrat has no core political beliefs, he’s just a self-serving schmuck. But I am sure he had some kind of deal to be rewarded for helping Obama.
