Perhaps I should say that APPLE WATCH is NOT a watch but a WRIST COMPUTER with hundreds of apps for it (soon to be thousands) and “ONE” do those apps happens to be a watch-face!
And a check of the app store shows less than 50 apps actually available
I’ve found Swordmaker’s replies to be most helpful and educational.

Knowing this, Apple made its WatchKit software development kit available to other companies in November, so they could start designing apps in time for Apple Watch’s April 24th launch. On that day, we’ll see the first crop of apps, and though Apple wouldn’t give a specific figure, the company has said it will be in the thousands.
I’m sure there’s a nitch market along with the “look at me I am better than you but cannot afford a Prius” market. Otoh, I have more Apple products in my home than other types, and I simply cannot think of a reason to go to a tiny, microscopic font interface.
That being said, I am sure it is ideally suited for many uses where that need exists. This is the true Beta test so we’ll see within the next year I suppose. By then they will have the “new Iwatch”. : )
Not a knock on Apple by any means, but for me, I need to see how others are using it before I am compelled to feel that this could be useful for me.
