Of fully 40 different demographic subgroups measured, the only one in which more people think businesses should have that right than shouldn’t is Republicans. And even among Republicans, it’s only a plurality who say so. There were no clear majorities for the right to refuse service on religious grounds among any group tested.

"Fortunately, people don't get to vote on the Constitution."

I agree.

Unfortunately, people don’t seem to know the Constitution.

So Freepers, let us organize the largest pork bar-b-que ever conceived, and force a muslim caterer to do it.

Yes as usual they are muddying the water. Half of these polls are bogus anyway.

RE: Should an individual be forced to buy good/service from a business even if they disagree with it

Justice John Roberts already ruled that they can be forced to buy a good/service.

It’s called buying healthcare or else... (as long as it’s called a tax and not a penalty ).

SO, first healthcare, then what’s next?

In a system of liberty, free markets and private property, one ha the right to refuse to do business with anyone for any reason at all. Only the government must not discriminate.

This article I just posted shows the left leaning heavily on manufactured consensus trying to force the state attorney general to back down from his duties.

Repeated claims of polls declaring that we want gay marriage don’t make law. If the majority is so large, get it on the ballot and decide it the right way.

When rich Republicans like Koch, Adelson, Romney start to buy up the news networks and fire the libs, the culture wars will be fair and balanced.

One sided leftist media brainwashes the low info voters.

Was it a telephone poll? If so, what kind of people are more likely to have land lines with listed numbers?

If a majority of those polled approved of involuntary servitude, would that make it OK?

Usual deception involved - the question did not match the real issues of the times.

The only people who should have the opportunity or responsibility for such a question, should be business owners themselves, not those uninterested in what it takes to maintain a business under the present oppressive business environment.
