I saw pretty much what you did. The guy face down on the ground , and the one deputy comes up and kicks the guy in the groin. I was saying to Mr. C4E, good horse. All the commotion and he was just standing there, being a good boy.
Probably similar to South Carolina reasoning, where you gotta handcuff the dead guy you just shot 5 times in the back...
The guy who got beat-down might have deserved a couple of those, because he apparently hurt the horse by riding him over rough terrain, and probably through some nasty brush.
However, it should have ended within a minute and a half.
"They shoot horses, don't they?"
Horse knows what happens to dogs so he knew to stand still. Although the horse could have easily hoofed a few cops.
It was a good horse, but you could tell it was agitated and confused. Grabbed by a stranger who didn’t know how to ride, getting yanked on the mouth and hammered through rough terrain. Spooked by a low flying helicopter, and lots of screaming, raving idiots running all around.
There were several times I thought a deputy was going to get kicked.
NEVER ignore a loose horse in a highly charged situation with a bunch of people screaming and running around.
