What you described, with the earlier footage of the video ‘missing’, reminds me of the grandad of all modern race wars; the case of Rodney King. It was during that time of the early 1990’s that I made a switch from being a lifelong democrat to being republican. I did not want to be associated with those low down race baiters anymore.

Saw the guy who shot the vid in an exclusive interview earlier on NBC (without the M in front of it) - the guy struck me as a foreigner, spoke in heavily accented English, said he was walking to get to work when he came up on the scene, both the cop and Scott were on the ground struggling, by the time he got his phone out and at the ready for video he was only able to get the last part of the incident clearly.

why did the video start where it did You really think somebody is going to start filming BEFORE anything happens?
By the time the guy realizes something is occurring and gets his phone out, the running and shooting are taking place.

"why did the video start where it did."If you look you see no cars nearby, so it appears the victim was resisting, and trying to leave the scene. This probably caught the attention of the guy who shot the video, who then followed along to see what happens.
