NYT Writer: Christians ‘Must Be Made’ to Embrace Gay Lifestyle

In the wake of the Indiana donnybrook over religious liberty, which somehow was transformed overnight into a question of gay rights, it couldn’t be long before the New York Times weighed in against Christians.

Yet who could have expected the draconian measures the Times would propose? Either Christians fully embrace the gay lifestyle, or you will be coerced into doing so.

Christian parents and Christian schools must start making sure that young Christians learn Section 1 of the 14th Amendment in order to be able to protect their constitutionally enumerated freedoms, particularly religious expression, from misguided, pro-gay activist bully states.
14th Amendment, Section 1:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Note that the “privileges or immunities” term which John Bingham, the main author of Section 1, used in that section is just another way to refer to constitutionally enumerated rights, most of these well-known rights, including 1st Amendment-protected freedom of religious expression, listed in the Bill of Rights.

How about embracing the actual LGBTs so hard that they are loved to death (death of their old sinful selves).

This is more theologically apt.

Our founding fathers, against all odds, beat the snot out armies hell bent on instilling tyranny. I read their personal writings and get a sense they were divinely inspired.

I remember when California repealed the statute banning sodomy, Bob Hope said he was leaving before they made it mandatory. I guess it is mandatory now.

The only way out of this mess is to recognize that church and state are separate. While civil legality is determined by consensus or legal interpretation, and is therefore subject to a great deal of flexibility, there does need to be room in civic life for religious belief and practice. This is exactly what I was afraid of when you blur that line as was done in that stupid law which seems to have been “fixed” by making it worse! @$#% liberaltarians!

The left can’t contain their hatred and violence towards those that disagree and have differing worldviews than theirs.
