Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) said he “would cut every bit” of the Department of Commerce’s budget in an interview broadcast on Tuesday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

“We either do it [spending cuts] 1% across the board, or maybe some programs we cut 100% of. So, the Department of Commerce…I consider most of it, if not all of it, to be corporate welfare. I would cut every bit of it…but if you can’t decide on it, kind of like the sequester, you don’t make up your mind, you don’t put a budget forward, then you’ll get the sequester” he stated.

I agree — it’s one of about 9 departments I’d like to eliminate.

only Commerce?

Commerce is by far the LEAST offensive in terms of persecuting citizens, trashing the Constitution, and thoroughly promoting a hard-left ideology.

I don’t consider NOAA and the National Weather Service to be corporate welfare.

A lot of what it may do could be considered corporate welfare. However, it is the source of important statistical data about the economy that would be hard to replace. I vote fo 95 per cent.

Yep, the National Weather Service provides a valuable service that actually saves lives. Good use of a very small sliver of taxpayer dollars.

Do it until even the libs cry out for rules. Then you have them and can re-institute the Constitution.
