Cruz was talking about Springsteen and Bono and Sting and all of the other big liberals.
The way he put it, sounds like tarring with one brush. And it is the fault of his unfamiliarity with the larger genre.
That said, the right will be more forgiving to him on this one than the left would be. There will doubtless be a mea culpa from Ted and that will end the issue for all intents and purposes.
