In New York Times interview, Obama says it has been "personally difficult" for him to hear expressions that his administration has not done everything it could to look out for Israels interest.
American would stand by Israel if its attacked by any state, including Iran, US President Barack Obama pledged in an extensive 46 minutes interview with The New York Times in which he advocated for the new framework deal to curb Tehrans nuclear program.
What we will be doing even as we enter this deal, is sending a clear message to the Iranians and to the entire region that if anyone messes with Israel, America will be there, Obama told The New York Times reporter Thomas Friedman.
His interview with Obama, which was taped on Saturday and published on Sunday, was unusual both in its digital format and length.
It gave Obama an extended forum to defend the framework deal, which was agreed upon last week by Iran and the six world powers, including the US. A binding document will only be finalized in June.
In a calm and measured voice Obama explained that this deal was the best diplomatic option to halt Irans nuclear threat. It would, he said, provide an almost foolproof monitoring system to ensure that Tehran did not produce any nuclear weapons for at least 20 years.
I have been very clear that Iran will not get a nuclear weapon on my watch, Obama said. They should understand that we mean it.

Don’t forget Boehner and McConnell in all of this.......
I know.... btw.. nice graphic..
Just like he was there in Benghazi.
Pray America is waking
By the US, under Obama, being there he means that physically from the perspective of Israel being about 5500 miles east of the DC.
Yeah...
The US will be there afterwards to sweep up.
If you like your existence . . .
I have been very clear that Iran will not get a nuclear weapon on my watch, Obama said. They should understand that we mean it.
Oh.... We should all feel so secure. Iran will not get nuclear bombs before January 2017.
The man is an idiot talking with idiots.
Thanks. American Thinker has an essay today about the power of imagery, which is why I make memes.
“The takeaway is that images are the most powerful means of communication. The human brain is designed to process images rather than words, and it may even be instinctive for us to accept any image as the truth. This was certainly the case until our ancestors learned to draw pictures. Images can also fascinate us and hold our attention in seconds, in contrast to words, in which the Propaganda Man may lose interest.”
If you don’t believe him, just ask Chris Stephens.
Iran says back at you obama.
Ok putz head, then have the Iranians declare in a statement that they will recognize the State of Israel’s right to exist, that should be simple enough
My Pappy used to say when I asked for something just wish in one hand and $hit in the other to see which one fills the fastest, this piece reminded me of that.
The human brain is designed to process images rather than words, and it may even be instinctive for us to accept any image as the truth.
Right.......... why I made this..

0bama, you sold out Israel.
May you be dealt with accordingly.
Obama will call for a critical beer summit on the WH lawn if Iran nukes Israel...
Feel better now Bibi?
Now that Netanyahu won the election in spite of Obama's efforts to defeat him.
Yeah - we’ll be there to sift through the ashes to ensure no survivors exist...when seconds count, the USA is only half a world away - and too busy to answer your call, but please leave a message....
Clown Prince nobama is a chronic, pathological liar. Liars lie...that is what they do.
"The Mullahs and I have an agreement that their first nuclear bomb test will occur on the first day of the Cruz Administration," 0bama concluded.
Parse his words. "On my watch."
On his successor's watch, surely, and Baraq will be right there to criticize while still getting what he really wants.
