Ted Cruz buying television ads in early states
Politico ^ | 4/2/15 1:05 PM EDT | Alex Isenstadt

Ted Cruz is scheduled to become the first 2016 presidential candidate on the airwaves.

The Texas senator is purchasing a small amount of airtime on television affiliates in the early states of Iowa, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Nevada on Easter Sunday, according to ad tracking sources. At least some of the advertising will air during a showing of the NBC program “AD: The Bible Continues.”

As of Thursday afternoon, Cruz had booked a total of over $9,000 worth of airtime on affiliates throughout the four states — though the tally was increasing throughout the day as stations reported.

Cruz launched his campaign March 23 during an appearance at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, making him the first declared candidate of the presidential election. The influx of attention he’s received since then has helped him fill his fundraising coffers: In the eight days following the launch, the Texas Republican took in around $4 million, his campaign said earlier Thursday.

The Cruz campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

CORRECTION: Due to an editing error, previous version of this story incorrectly classified Cruz’s spots as radio ads.

This is good, get started now but keep it low key
and don’t over saturate the media too early.

Build recognition now, connect the dots later.

Good, early exposure in these states will help people make up their minds early and support Ted Cruz.

That’s how Ted Cruz is going to win, the early bird gets the worm.

We need to get behind one canadate early and support him with all that we got even if we have to sacrifice, give up things that we personally want to buy and give until it hurts.

We need to have fund drives to support Ted Cruz with yard sales, flea markets, bake sales, car washes.

We need to save money by creating our own political campaign signs.

For $9,000 it must be low key! (I’m guessing they missed some zeros?)

Amen, get started now, get national recognition, but don’t over saturate like a 1,000 political signs in the size of a yard that’s the size of a postage stamp, don’t waste resources.
Let the people get the word out, and make their own yard signs, pick up truck signs.

We could copy and print out the flame graphic on his logo and laminate them and stick them in our yards until we get hard signs.

If I had the money to travel I would make my own huge Ted Cruz 2016 sign and put it in the back of my pickup truck and drive it around town now.

I would love it if he wins, but he won’t. Cruz could POSSIBLY get the nomination, but there’s NO WAY he’ll win the general election.

I’d rather lose with a straight up REAL Conservative than go down by fielding another sell out McRomney RINO type candidate....
