F-— them.

If they borrowed the money, they are obligated to pay it back.

Potential employers will find out when they run a credit report on these people.

A revolt is growing as more people refuse to pay back student loans

"The deadbeats and welchers are revolting!"

They certainly are...

Normally I would agree with you. However, from reading the article, it sounds like the specific colleges in question engaged in possibly illegal behavior including deception and fraud. If that is the case, and the loans were obtained due to a fraud perpetrated on the borrower, then some kind of relief would seem to be appropriate in this particular instance.

Of course the problem is that once these are granted relief, everyone who ever took out a student loan will want them reduced or forgiven, even if no fraud or other illegal activity occurred.

“If they borrowed the money, they are obligated to pay it back.”

Not if they were coerced into it...

Yes. Otherwise, it is stealing.

Couldn’t agree more. When I took out student loans, I fully expected to have to pay them back - and I did. Further, I expected that they would take the payments directly out of my wages if I didn’t comply.

Sometimes I think it is time to just let the world collapse, so that there is nothing for left those who ‘demand’ to ‘demand’. The world is upside down.

You will be surprised to find that there are freepers who will disagree with you.
