The Clackamas murders were STOPPED by an armed citizen with a concealed carry permit! These laws do nothing to stop criminals, who, unlike the good guy above, will NEVER submit to ANY background check, or will employ a "lily white" with no record to go through the background check.
These laws are nothing but unconstitutional feel-good lunacy.

I listened to the hearing. I didn’t hear any testimony connecting a privately sold gun to a crime.
Like that matters to them. They’re just trying to do the right thing to make us all safer. I’m sure you must feel safer just knowing they’re at work protecting you. Right? Maybe, not so much.
