I had an epiphany tonight. I dont believe that a business owner should have to compromise his believes and participate in a gay wedding. For the past week, I thought the business owners finally got some protection, but I was wrong. This law does nothing to protect Christian business owners from refusing gay couples.
First, this law gives standing in court. The problem is does anyone thing that any judge would side with the Christian business owner. Every time I know of, the judge sided with the gay couple. So if any Indiana business denied a gay person or gay couple, they would be sued and most likely lose their business. Second, the state law mirrors the federal law. One argument was that the federal law was individuals and not business, but last year the Supreme Court basically said that it did apply to businesses.
So basically we have been boycotting a state, ruining the lives of all the poor Indiana citizens, including gays and minorities. We have been arguing, spewing hatred at one another for nothing. This law changes nothing in Indiana. All it does is bring a federal law to the state level.
I know why the elites wanted it, but arent the average citizens better than this? Gays and lesbians have the same rights in Indiana than they did last month. Gays and lesbians can still sue the business if discriminated against and they will still win. As I said do you really think a judge will side with a bigoted business owner. They havent the past three years. Then why are these bigoted businesses coming out? Because we all have been deceived. People have been wrongly deceived, intent or not, that a business can refuse to serve in a gay wedding. If that happens, the gay couple can still sue and will still win. The business will come out the loser.
Lets just get past this already. There have been two bigger issues in Indiana, HIV and some women who has been sentenced 30 years for having a miscarriage. We have ISIS and Iran who want to destroy us. We have an airline that cant even vet their own pilots. We have more dangerous thing out there than a law that wont change much of anything. Its time for peace and clam. If you disagree, than fine. Keep fighting, but I am out on this issue.
I wrote this for the general public, but we all know what this is. The left wants to use this as a wedge issue.
some women who has been sentenced 30 years for having a miscarriage
.................
?
I guarantee that most of the people bitching about this law haven’t read it (if they’re able to read).
:...we have been boycotting a state...”

What mean “we”, kemosabe?
Not long ago, a Christian farmer was sued by a gay couple who wanted to a marriage ceremony on their farm. The Christian farmer lost $13k. You don’t even have any right on your own property where you live. I think the gay community is taking advantage of this to enrich themselves
Facts are important.
Over 30 states have working Voter ID laws that haven't been struck down. Many here don't know that.

Forcing Christians to participate in gay sexual ceremonies and activities is rape.
We should repeat rape in every other sentence when we discuss this issue.
And, Christians should be filing sexual harassment suits against the gay lobby.
The federal statute was written as a fairly narrowly focused piece of legislation. The Indiana law is written with a significantly broader scope.
It brings Republican Presidential Candidates out in the open which is a good thing!
The left wants to use this... So does the GOP! What GOP governor would think he would get a fair hearing from George Stepenalloverus?
