There was a PBS special on a transgendered married man and his family. He had long hair, makeup, and was wearing women's clothes. He look pathetic and his wife looked sad.
They questioned their kids who were preteens. They asked how they felt about their daddy. The kids looked at each other and responded with incomprehensibly sad looks on their faces. They essentially said they knew their daddy was sick.
At the time I saw this on PBS there was no palpable gay rights agenda anywhere.
I will never forget their sadness.
The grace of God (not even “morality”) is needed to overcome such sieges of the spiritual enemy.
That cuts against our worldly instincts which say simply to punish the culprits.
But this misperception is a result of our all having been lost in the sin of Adam. God never quit being Love. We started becoming Hate.
