Some try to wish April Fool's Day away. Others do their best to ignore it. Then there are those who embrace the day's possibilities.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is one of those people.
So on Wednesday morning, Walker's tweet that he would make a "big announcement" later in the day essentially had a *wink wink* tacked on at the end.
There was no chance Scott Walker was going to announce his all-but-certain White House bid, or anything else of substance. Still, political reporters -- like this one -- nonetheless had to tune in to Walker's announcement. Would he -- could he -- actually make some news on the least trustworthy news day of the year?
He would not. Get it? April Fool's.
The problem, of course, is that his tease wasn't exactly an April Fools' Day joke (fake news posted as real), as several curmudgeonly political types were quick to point out.

The problem? Is this some sort of Millennial writer? Because I hear they say “thats a problem” a bunch. The fact is, there is NO problem and Walker is just making them jump through hoops.

Seems kind of childish to me. The may retaliate by ignoring him when he does announce.
That would be better than telling the voters of the year he went on an all kitten diet like they are planning to.
Tune in? Dude, you make it sound like clicking on a Twitter feed was a major inconvenience that somehow disrupted your day.

I can assure you, when Gov. Walker announces, it will be covered by the news media.
He’s certainly gotten the softball treatment from the media so far. The only thing they ever questioned was his lack of a college degree. Contrast that with the foaming at the mouth vitriol Cruz has had and I think it says a lot about which candidate is feared by the left.
You must have missed the media go apoplectic over Walker for about a month. They hate him with every ounce that they hate Cruz.
Absolutely ridiculous.
A lack of college degree is they only thing they have left. They used up everything they had against Walker in the recall elections, and he still crushed them.
