MIKE PENCE AND INDIANA REPUBLICANS CAPITULATE TO TYRANNY, ARE ARKANSAS REPUBLICANS NEXT?
4/1/2015 | Self

Posted on 04/01/2015 4:38:54 AM PDT by Nextrush

Just as surely as Marshal Petain capitulated to Naziism in France in 1940, Governor Mike Pence and the Republican legislative leaders of Indiana have capitulated to Corporatism in 2015.

Big Business and professional sports organizations backed by the corporate elites attacked the religious freedom bill in Indiana and the Republicans caved, more evidence of a Uniparty system where corporate elites dictate policy,

This adds to other issues like Amnesty and Common Core, where Big Business drives the agenda and the politicians march in lockstep.

The House in Arkansas has now passed a similar religious freedom bill, but the business elites are on the attack.

Leading the attack, the CEO of the biggest corporation in the world that happens to be based in Arkansas. Doug McMillon of Wal-Mart has urged Governor Asa Hutchinson to veto the bill.

Can the outcome be in doubt? I doubt it.

Meanwhile, I don't see a lot of leadership on this issue defending our First Amendment and its freedom of religion and speech clauses.

Ted Cruz has issued a strong statement, Marco Rubio has defended the bill, Scott Walker said the issue is up to Indiana to decide. That sounds like a dodge.

I am looking for leadership that will condemn the Big Business dictation of public policy in this country, the Corporatist system of government we apparently have.

If this doesn't materialize in the Republican Party and instead we get emotional diversionary manufactured issues regarding the evils of Obama, Clinton and the "Demonrats" it will confirm in my mind the urgent need for a third party option in general elections.

Its time for someone to step up to the plate and denounce the "Corporats" who are tyrannizing this nation. That is the real burning issue in our country and the real cause of bad policy ranging from Obamacare to Amnesty.

The GOPe propaganda machine seems to be manufacturing some sort of sympathy for Mike Pence and all the "pressure" he has felt over the issue.

I have no such sympathy. Defending the Constitution of the United States should be a no brainer but in the New World Order of Corporatism we must all respond to the "Achtung" from the business leaders.

Where's Winston Churchill when you need him?

There used to be an old terminology, “kept woman.” You hear it a bit in old pre-WW2 movies. It’s referring to the mistress that some bigwig power-player has on the side, who gets furnished an nifty art-deco appartment, and gets showered with the occasional furs and diamond rings. It’s not ‘exactly’ prostitution, but it’s an illicit and seedy arrangement which deadens the characters of both.

That’s what the GOP reminds me of, “kept women” of corporatist masters. Most of them will be willing to toss the Constitution directly into the flames, as long as they keep receiving their furs and diamonds. This used to not be the case, but there’s been a massive degeneration in the Republican Party in the past decade or two.

It’s almost funny, seeing the sheer empty soullessness of the establishment-GOP voices (as on FoxNews), as they keep trying to proclaim all social and cultural issues completely immaterial (or lost causes not worth fighting), while they salivate on screen over issues like corporate tax cuts, free-trade deals, amnesty, outsourcing, and the like. Just like “kept women” craving more and more diamonds and furs, and acting like this is exactly in line with what everyone (the GOP voters out in the hinterlands) wants. The joy of showing them with more gifts. While the country continues to decompose further and further into moral, cultural and societal rot.

Think about the pols and the GOP and consider the contrast of the woman who is fighting the state regarding her beliefs to bypass a gay wedding. Her entire fortune and security are up for grabs. It is a disgrace these pols cannot highlight this situation and spank back against the evil wolves.
The bill should have been marketed differently to expose what it is: totalitarianism
The CLARIFICATION on ‘FORCED ASSEMBLIES’ and FREEDOM of CONSCIENCE ACT-INDIANA

"divorce IS a biblical principle"

It sure is!

Matthew 19:9
"I say to you, whoever divorces his wife (unless the marriage is unlawful) and marries another commits adultery."

Mark 10:11
He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her"

Mark 10:12
and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery"

Luke 16:18
"Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and the one who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery."

Malachi 2:16
For I hate divorce, says the Lord, the God of Israel.

Good to know those Biblical principles!

The whole issue in question is about protecting a “sinful lifestyle choice.”

No, the whole issue in question is religious freedom and the right to practice your religion as you think necessary. Everyone thinks it's anti-homosexual but it's broader than that. If a Muslim doesn't want to ring up pork at a grocery then this act protects them. If a store doesn't want to cater to a wedding between divorced people then this law protects them. And yes, it also protects the people in the two steriotypical examples "If a Jewish baker doesn't want to bake a cake for Nazis" and "If a Christian Identity Church member doesn't want to serve an Black Couple" but you have to take the truly legitimate cases along with the truly ridiculous ones.

Yes this is a license to discriminate under certain circumstances. But given a choice between what people see is their duty to God and discriminating against their fellow man then I support duty to God.

serially, if necessary - divorce IS a biblical principle

So is bigamy and concubines. But Jesus did not approve of divorce and mentioned several times that those who divorce their spouse and marry another is committing adultery.

RE :”The Republicans making noise about Islamic State or Putin and or participating in limited Vietnam style wars against them with our emasculated military are emotional diversionary issues to distract conservatives while the liberal corporatist agenda is enacted here at home like the constant increases in our national debt (credit card limit , the country running like a credit card company should tell us who’s really running it).......”

AHHHH,you bring Grahamnesty to mind.

That seems to be the ONLY issue that Grahamnesty disagrees with Dems on, he supports ALL of Obama’s nominees, but his getting on Sunday shows every few weeks calling for Obama to bomb or send more troops seems to be enough for GOP SC primary voters.

People are mostly awake. There are 2 things that are allowing social responsibility to die. First is that conservative America (for the most part) is non-vocal. Most don't speak out and a portion of those don't even vote. Second is the obvious one: media control. No matter the truth or right/wrong, the game is rigged. You are not allowed to speak out and the voices are never heard. For instance, the local Indianapolis "news" station, WRTV, has 4 stories this morning on this topic and all are slanted. They even promoted a protest downtown a couple days ago. Their only outlet for reader input is facebook and they control it with a strong arm... not to mention that on facebook if you try to even discuss these topics with an opposing opinion, rabid users will report your comments and your account will be disabled within minutes... effectively silencing you.

Like it or not, these are the outlets the public pays attention to and they are strictly controlled by leftists. Small, stupid and inaccurate issues are made to look as if they are prominent national stage issues, even if there is nothing there. The RFA law is just a recent example. Hell, even a cousin of mine whom I've always held in high regard was ranting on faceboook about homos and queers are equal people and this law was a travesty. Not one of these lemmings have even read the bill, they are simply lazy followers who need to be recognized for their "good deeds". Go to the Adam Smith example... listen to the wacko on his video. The time waiting in the drive-through, he was uncontrollably excited to be piling on the false narrative, when he was finished with his idiocy, "I just did something really good, I feel purposeful". This is how the idiots think, blindly and with no regard for anyone else.

I believe the only effective weapon to fight it is identical countermeasures... but where would we stand if we flooded the arena with new media outlets that propagated the same dishonesty?

Well the gay Nazis have destroyed marriage and are well way to removing religious beliefs from the from the national interest. I was wondering what what was next and it comes to me that there are Jewish delis. So I know what the next step will be . . . find a Jewish deli that won’t sell ham on rye so they can again claim victim-hood. Anti discrimination laws were passed to eliminate REAL discrimination not some trumped claim by every one who needs to make a point. That point being, “the gay Nazis are legitimate.” Sick and tired of the BS in this country, the only people getting any attention are the tiny minorities screeching form the rooftops that they are victims of something or another. We have far too many privileged classes now and no equality. A person practicing their beliefs was originally protected by the Constitution but I guess it is just a piece of paper any more.

We are now living in the New “Progressive” Inquisition... the media and (misnamed)”progressive” Grand Inquisitors prowl the country as in medieval days... seeking to punish any and all heretics (is the “stake” next?)! ALL MUST kneel in submission to the “church of PeeCee”! Indiana, other states and weak kneed GOPers, should look no further than Chick-Fil-A… when the Inquisitors came they resisted and the “Gaystopo” retreated defeated!

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

That might work for the cake depending on how it’s decorated. Probably not going to offer any relief to a florist though. I mean how is a flower arrangement homo themed.

Floral arrangements for a wedding are unique artistic expressions from the florist. Participating and profiting from the wedding arrangements could be construed as approval by some Christians. Protecting these Christians from participating in what they consider immoral is one of the reasons bills like this were passed.

EXACTLY!

That’s what we all should do all the time.

Meaning ALL Christians!

At some point Christiandom needs to find “COHESION” of purpose and act as a BLOCK like the democrats, homosexuals and other liberal groups do.

Next up! Quit going to NASCAR!

You’ve missed my point, I think on purpose.

There IS a valid, NT reason for divorce. Which translation do you want to use? Yours or this, they both have the same message.

“Whosoever shall put away his wife, except for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery” (Matthew 19:9).

A lot of retired military there to be fooled and tricked.

McCain is Graham’s co-conspirator on this along with Senator Kelly Ayotte of NH.

His last years in uniform McCain was a liaison officer with Congress selling things like new weapons systems for the Navy.

I think McCain and Graham etc. want to help defense contractors when they propose adventures in the ME or Ukraine and probably get some $$$$$ from them. The Israel Lobby is obviously concerned about states allied to the Iranians like Syria and Ukraine. They get $$$$$$$.

Another interesting question. Are the LGBT forces with deep $$$$$$$ opposing religious freedom laws in this country angry enough with Putin and his laws in Russia that they would like to see war waged against him in Ukraine?????

McCain genuflected to them last year opposing a religious freedom law in Arizona after it passed the legislature that then GOP Governor Jan Brewer vetoed.

No, I didn't miss your point. I refuted your point.

There's no getting around the fact that God hates divorce. Period.

You're not supposed to do what God hates.

Mark and Luke go on to quote Jesus as saying that to remarry after a divorce is adultery. Period.

Matthew had an added parenthesis ("except in the case of porneia"). Porneia in Greek means unlawful (illicit) sexual union. Therefore if the marriage itself was unlawful for some reason --- let's say the bridegroom is later found out to be a divorced man, or a tranny, or your long-lost brother --- then a divorce (more accurately an annulment) is allowed, because the marriage itself was unlawful.

This becomes pretty clear when Jesus says, "What God has joined together, let no man put asunder." If it HAD been a lawful marriage from the get-go, no divorce would be possible.
