NIOTC, Navel inshore operations training center was located at Mare Is CA.

While I was trained to operate a PBR boat there were all manner of brown water war boats stationed there for training for duty for RVN. Tactical training was done in the Suisun Slough.

My family and I lived in Coronado from 1966 to 1972 and 1981 to 1994. I have many fond memories of good the FRiends and good times we had there.

The SEALs were good neighbors, most of the time!
