Sounds a lot like a McLame back track to get elected. Don’t think this guy is to be trusted on the issue........

Walker is a fast learner! Anyone who wins 3 times in blue Wisconsin has to be politically smart.

What difference does something like e-verify make if Walker legalizes and gives citizenship to illegals anyway?

And once he does that chain migration will lead to approximately 75 million new, majority Leftist and welfare-using, low-skill, new voters.

I respect Walker, but he’s sounding like Romeney’s etch-a-sketch on illegals.

[He’s toughening up his immigration position as he learns more about the issue.]

That statement sends up a red flag to me. How many years did Walker deal with immigration as Governor? He is learning more about the issue?????

Securing the border is enough for at least two years.

He shouldn’t have to be steered, he should go the right way on principle.

“He’s for border security first, enforce the laws on the books, fix legal immigration system with national interest in mind and then deal with those here,”

It's that "deal" part that we're not thrilled with Scotty boy.

"...and then deal with those here,”

Naps buddy, I keep looking for what Walker's position is for those here ILLEGALLY, but what does "deal with those here" really mean? I realize no candidate is going to say deport the trash, but they need say more than to say "deal with" them. Wouldn't you say?

Republicans being border hawks at election time is as certain as the geese flying north in the spring, and south in the fall. Of course, once they take the oath they all turn into John Judas McCain.

Every top Republican candidate - including Ted Cruz - is pushing the same wheel barrow of steaming political poop:

(1) “Secure the borders first.”

(2) “No path to citizenship.”

The border laws are already on the books - and our guys do NOTHING to enforce them today!

And I’m supposed to believe they will enforce the exact same laws in the future?

And “No Path To Citizenship?”

More poop!

Every one of our candidates knows the Federal Court system will do it’s best to declare that illegal.

And if the Courts should fail?

Millions of Hispanics will be in the streets in 2016 screaming “Racism” at the GOP.

And the GOP will panic and give them whatever they want.

Our immigration laws should go back to what they were before Ted Kennedy screwed things up. Secondly, no birthright citizenship. Anyone born in this country to parents who were not legally in this country, should lose their citizenship - retroactive to 1986 (when Reagan sign the Amnesty law)

....and then deal with those here

He did it again. In a very sly way he said he isn't going to deal with those already here until everything else is done. If he said while dealing with those here illegally, using EVerify to identify them through any benefit, job, or housing applications" that could work.

The only thing that saves the US is if we get invaders out ASAP.

I'm not a politician..obvious.

I will vote...at this point for Walker...but I'm concerned...he's had to modify his position on illegal's...

Being born and raised in SoCal..gives me a very different perspective.

But Walker ought to have people like me....giving him the straight skinny!!

More “Whitehouse Road” Conversion from the guy who voted to support amnesty in 2002 and 2006.

How can he be trusted?

I can hear the “flip flop” rhetoric starting.

Personally, I appreciate ANY politician that, having been informed and “educated” on a particular issue and consequently changing his original stance, as someone who is THINKING and not reacting. No one knows everything at all times. How many of you, having researched the facts as they have been presented, have NOT changed your minds once you “saw the light”? Don't condeme ANY politician for changing his/her mind if they truly believe in making said change.

Unless he’s willing to use the term “deport” in conjunction with illegals, he’s just trying to fool folks.
