Some People Just Want to Be Ruled, and Some Just Don’t

The truth is some (many) people just want someone to make decisions for them. I am unsure if it is a genetic disposition or whether it is socialization or whether it is both. All I know is some people do not want to control their own lives. They are more comfortable with someone at the helm. They are comforted by a horizon which is limited and defined by others.

Strangely these same people also want to limit the lives of those who prefer to be free.

"Strangely these same people also want to limit the lives of those who prefer to be free."=bloomberged. Ain't that the truth? Leave us the F alone. Those that want to maintain their freedom. Well, such as it is anymore.

And some people just want to be rulers:

"KNEEL! Is not this simpler? Is this not your natural state? It's the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation."

I think that there are darn near as many of both kinds on left as on right.

No shortage of people with ostensibly conservative viewpoints who loath anyone who doesn’t share their values even if that it has no direct effect on them. There are all sorts of things not in the constitution that “conservatives” would impose on anyone and everyone who would like to live within these borders.

Some years ago, several churches in my hometown formed a non-profit and bought and refurbished a formerly seedy downtown hotel. Residents who didn't want the responsibility of running their own lives would sign over all their income to the charity which, in return, provided meals, a small cash allowance, utilities and housing in the refurbished hotel. Most of the residents were on social security, pensions or disability, but a few worked marginal jobs.

It was amazing how quickly they filled the place with people who didn't want to take responsibility for the most basic decisions about their lives. They made enough money off them that they were eventually able to buy and refurbish a second seedy hotel, then a third, then opened a branch in another town.

These weren't winos, druggies or derelicts, just people who liked having somebody else take responsibility for the basic decisions in their lives. Some might describe it as an assisted living facility for the physically able bodied.

Don't know how many of them voted, but the downtown area was a very heavily Democrat area of a mid sized city in a state so conservative that it last voted for a Democrat president in the 1964 LBJ landslide.

They kept many downtown coffee shops and the like in business. Most of the residents could best be described as teenagers without the raging hormones who just never grew up.

Best description of a Liberal which I ever heard:

One who will bite the hand which feeds them and lick the boot which kicks them.

I was thinking just this thing today. What liberals (and Muslims) really hate is the same thing - freedom. They are natural cowards, summarily rejecting the challenge of adulthood, locked in permanent adolescence or even childhood, hating responsibility and rejecting true freedom. It’s a fundamental maturity problem, and that’s why they can’t carry on a conversation without erupting in rage - the rage declares them victims of harm and that justifies the slander attack.

They’re not bothered by their own irrationality and hypocrisy, they rush to slander and their mouths are foul and cruel, and they reject all authority while being craven to popularity - pure early adolescence. This is why schoolyard slander-chanting gang-ups are not only common with them, but literally their way of “voting” on an issue.

And more, it’s not a natural state. Is the creation of Leftists and the purpose of the public school system, to literally prevent adulthood. Instead of Adults and Rule of Law, they are angry, frightened, cowardly, emotionally crippled children obeying feral feminist mommies and teachers and managers all following “policies” that they enforce as viciously and arbitrarily as possible, even sadistically - all while indulging in zero personal responsibility by hiding behind their corporate, collectivist shells, zones, barriers and laws.

Liberals are crippled into craving this mind slavery, while Leftists create and control it. And feminists are the “capos,” indulged in their grotesque sadisms and lies and rendered untouchable as long as they serve their Leftists masters.

There is no “future” to “progress” to for these people - progress is their big lie. The only thing that will progress is the technology of slavery. But the roles are already set and being played.

And that’s why conservatives are hated so much, and America too - they are absolutely, totally opposite of how these people live their lives of absolute, total denial of adulthood.

Once a nation institutionalizes the care and feeding of the wannabe-ruled, it’s done for.

The rule of “the wolf you feed” applies. We have made it legitimate, acceptable, and mandatory to nurture the sort who prefer dependence, or even imprisonment, to self-sufficiency.

They will very soon outnumber the bipedal sort...who are not innocent.

The article says that to many, America is a place and not an idea. This is the argument I use for those idiots from Mexico that say they have a right to be here, that this prosperous land was taken from them. I tell them it wasn’t the land that made us prosperous, it was the people. And if they come here and keep their culture, we will no longer prosper.

The purpose of the Prussian System of “education” was to program “dependence” in children; to condition in them the idea that they have a master to control every single action—even the most natural (no “initiative” being allowed). When they differed from the group-—they are ostracized, or humiliated by peers or whatever-—so the teacher can control the “emotions” of the class——if you think “outside the box”—something is wrong with you.

The healthy Natural Family embeds individuality, initiative and uniqueness-—the Christian ideas that we are unique and different—and that idea is reinforced in real life experience every day inside the family in early childhood. Lincoln is the result of no “group” think conditioning, as is all Americans prior to John Dewey and mandatory “education”. It is why trauma exists in children who are removed from their secure environment (the family—as Lenin destroyed bonding by creating “daycares” and “working” mothers-—to destroy all biological connections and make State the only “loyalty” of the children. This deforms the child’s worldview and destroys Virtue and moral formation. It is why Bulgarian culture is so awful now-—so inhumane with their high abandonment of children and their extreme abuse of little children—the inhuman methods are inherited. They learned it in their early childhood—to be ignored, not loved, not touched because they were removed from their Natural Family at young ages; The greater the tauma—the more warping of desires-—more dehumanizing.

The Prussian System (one age/one adult for large group of peers) conditions “group think” or creates “herd mentality” (only emotional “learning” which destroys Reason and Logic and moral character) which exists if you are raised in an artificial institution where there is no unique mother/child bonding which is the humanizing element of an individual. In other words, you are trained in the public school system that you are nobody, it doesn’t matter what you think, and you should be fearful if you EVER go against popular opinion.

All feral children (abandoned) can NEVER have secure attachments and psychologists have known since the early 1900s, how essential mother/child relationship and interaction is-—and the disruption of that interaction deforms the child (mother’s death/work where strangers “raise” and ‘shape” the child destroys security, autonomy formation and creates fearful, angry, puerile adults.

The connection and bonding to the father-figure is also essential a little later, to create a flourishing, independent individual who can relate to both sexes and understand Reality and truth with high self-esteem, a ‘can-do-anything’ attitude.

Common Core-—all day Kindergartens— are to destroy further all Logic and Reason and Security and Trust in children-—to force irrational, artificial environments which treats them like objects (human resources only) which make children dependent and instill that atheist worldview of irrational helplessness and herd mentality.

Individualism is erased-—that Christian concept that we are all unique and special and have Natural Rights only from God can easily be erased in the mind of the child. The Independent rational minds of our Founders can not exist with the massive programming of lies and misinformation which no Classical Education is all about——and control of ideas by the State will create-—as JS Mill stated: slave mentality/tribal minds.

That is close to what Churchill said of the Germans: “They are either at your throat or licking your boots”. Maybe that was the residue of the Prussian System (see post #14).

I have been testing people for their management style (same as personality) for my entire working career. Then for 15 years I owned a large consulting company here in Seattle, and tested a ton more folks (over a 1,000) for high level positions, as well as for team building in both the public and private sector.

Here is a quick summary: There are 6 basic elements that make us who we are and how we act. Drive (accomplishment), Influence (control over others) Compliance (following the rules) Security (action taken to prevent the unexpected), Energy level and IQ (least important).

The relationship of those attributes makes us who we are. I believe it is determined 70% genetic and 30% cultural.

In High School are egos, are much more sensitive and still evolving. There are actually 9 basic groups of personality styles, but four basic ones:

Task Oriented - These people are driven by accomplishing tasks - they tend to be a bit gruff, and focused on getting things done. Good delegaters, but expect results from their subordinates. About 17% of the population (my estimate) Business owners, managers, etc

Influencers - these folks are motivated by their control over others. They are personable, look good, and tend to be popular - They tend to be poor delegaters, and micro manages their subordinates. Also about 17 %. Politicians (why we’re doomed), Lawyers, Journalists, Academics Marketing & Sales

Compliant - Detail oriented creative, and steady. Can be counted on - this is about 33% of the population. Engineers, Doctors, Scientists, researchers, teachers

Security Detail oriented also, tends to be conservative, protects status by following direction, steady good friend, and helper. Also about 32% of population, Artisans, carpenters, steel workers, also many engineers, Doctors and professionals.

Now, those 6 chrematistics vary from high to low in all individuals so we humans are individually unique. Also some people are able to move from one style to another.

Throw in physical attributes, and it gets even more complex.

A study done where they sent around two people to interview for a high level job at NY investment firms: One was a tall athletic, good looking guy who was not to bright (acted that way), and the other was over weight, short, and brilliant - knew the business. Guess who got the job offers.

So, the reason that democracies throughout human history always evolve into tyrannies or oligarchies is that the 65% of the folks (Compliant – Security oriented) are the go along get along, and don’t rebel until they lose it all.

The US is about 2/3 along the way, with a rapidly growing government with expanding crony capitalism. Economist Art Lafer studied the role in government on the economy over the last 2500 years and determined that once the government gets to 17% of the GNP, the economy becomes a permanent decline. We are at 25% now. This is because government is a monopoly and becomes inefficient, incompetent and corrupt.

So damned sad seeing America where it’s at.

I’m glad I got to know my grandpa’s America for a good part of my life. I’m really sad my children didn’t get to.

I say this as someone who was brought up in NYC in the late '40s, but have lived in various rural areas for all of my adult life - you have just described people who live in cities to a "T".
