An interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve may be warranted later this year, with a gradual path expected to follow, although a downturn in core inflation or wage growth could force it to hold off, the central bank's chief said yesterday.

Fed Chair Janet Yellen said that after the first rate increase a further, gradual tightening in monetary policy will likely be warranted.

She said, if incoming data fails to support the Fed's economic forecast, the path of policy will be adjusted.

There are so many new federal rules associated with banking and mortgages it would be hard to list them in a Big Chief tablet. We've locked at 3 percent but the “lock” runs out April 15.
We had to go to a”neutral party” to pick an appraiser. The bank can't talk to this guy. The appraiser reneged on his bid because the property is larger than he thought it was.
The bank's underwriter is confused by the distance the appraiser's “comps” are from our place.
it goes on and on; more signatures, gallons of paperwork.

I can't say anything about interest rates, but as a general statement:

Europe would like to fix itself, and takes actions which they believe will help them. The Obama Admin is trying to go down a path of destruction, and takes actions accordingly.

There are a couple thousand in various “fees” including the charge from the appraiser.
You can see why we're getting ancy...

If US Dollar continues to appreciate, there would not be inflation (not such a level of an economic revival) to curb through rate hikes.

This is another one of those “SMOKE & MIRRORS” that these “PROGRESSIVES” are playing. You know and I know when they will raise the interest rates. Just as soon as a “CONSERVATIVE” president is elected. By waiting until a “CONSERVATIVE” president is elected, they will “SHOW” the American people, that by electing a “CONSERVATIVE” president, a “CONSERVATIVE” senate and a “CONSERVATIVE” congress means total hardship for the American people. All these “CONSERVATIVE” politicians had better have a plan to overcome and defeat these “PROGRESSIVE” plans

Change “CONSERVATIVE” to “REPUBLICAN.”

Don’t hold your breath. As soon as they announce a hike the stock market will start to tank and they will have to walk it back.

The Fed can’t raise the rate, they’ve painted themselves into a corner.

They will now threaten to raise the rate “pretty soon” for the foreseeable future, hoping that no one will notice that they never do.

Agree. Too many repercussions to the house of cards if they would.

Should a RINO be chosen as the presidential flag bearer, I don’t think they will do this. It’s the “CONSERVATIVES” that these “PROGRESSIVES” are after
