It’s her health, her money and her decision.

This post is weird. Literally, its a narrative of Angelina Jolie’s ovaries.
There’s got to be a better discussion topic.

Women have been having propylactic surgeries with a strong family history of breast and ovarian cancers since before gene mutations were discovered, and well before we ever heard of Angelina Jolie. The death rates for ovarian cancer are stunning, and some forms of hereditary breast cancer have a very poor prognosis.

The country is being invaded, and the Middle East is on fire, and we are supposed to get teary over Angelina’s ovaries?

Not to wholly defend Angelina Jolie because I think she has made some rather questionable choices in her private life, but a womans or man’s health and the decisions they make about their own bodies are personal. This surgeon is a snide, condescending, one size fits all fool. And he doesnt know half of what he thinks he does about gonads and hormones, either. He needs to leave that specialty of medicine to the physicians who understand it.

Good point. The article is idiotic and I’m glad the author is not my doctor. He’s the one crying over her ovaries. It’s a bit creepy. She’s not whining about anything, from what I’ve noticed.
To: sukhoi-30mki
OK. I have problems too, very serious ones, do you want to hear about them? I didn't think so, nor do I have a need to tell you. There is a difference between humility and begging for adulation. You be the judge.

Taking a wild guess that the author didn't watch his mother suffer through years of battling breast cancer before succumbing to ovarian cancer at the age of 56. Perhaps the author had a more endearing relationship with his grandmother because she did not die of ovarian cancer at the age of 45. Instead, he harps because a woman wants to improve her odds of watching and participating as her own children grow into adults.
This opinion article is warped.

Yeah, the author seems a bit obsessed.
You’d think a those on conservative site would support an individual’s efforts to take control of her health.

More edifying than most things, nowadays. :P I think I would rather hear ovaries telling stories everyday for the rest of my life than to hear Obama even once more.

Another note added in proof to the proposition that there is nothing so stupid that you can't find it somewhere on the Internet.

How about: "The dying grey clump is confused. It believes it is Angelina Jolie's ovary, but it is in reality Ishrat Syed's brain."

This is just as bad as the The Vagina Monologues. Next we will hear about Angelina's walk down the Santa Monica Pier to catch the Mother Ship. Bon voyage if she does.

I know several people who have had prophylactic mastectomies just because she did, and while I feel she should certainly do what is right for her and her family, I think making that decision should not be based on what a celebrity does.
