John McCain was chosen specifically BECAUSE he wouldn’t do that.

I still don’t know if McStain got scared off or paid off but he threw that election. It was evident to anyone paying attention.

McCain threw the race on purpose so that Obama could win. Anyone who supported the nomination of McCain as the GOP presidential candidate was an idiot.

McCain bites, always did, always will. He as well as Romney basically let Obama win, because of their fear of being labeled racist if they stood up to the incompetent fool

The Jeremiah Wright story came out during the campaign.
It didn't hurt Obama's prospects -- or if it did, the economic crisis restored whatever he lost.
So maybe McCain figured Jeremiah Wright, Acorn, Alinsky, etc. wouldn't help him any.

I think the bigger question is why did so many on "our side" fall for Bill Clinton with a banjo, i.e. Huckabee.
I can't believe how many of them sent him money, lots of it. that a allowed no Conservative to come to the for-front, aka Fred Thompson who quite frankly didn't want it bad enough. That allowed McCain to RINO right up the middle.
I hope Cruz's entry in the race and bringing in a million in 38 hrs is noticed by those that want to occupy that space, i.e. Santorum, Carson, and Huckabee and that they just should hang it up and go home. Please no 2008's ever again...

If McCain had done that? I might have a picture of the Vice President hanging on the wall next to my computer.

McCain was/is so unpopular on both the left & right that there was little chance he would have won.
