Guess who is the number one violator of women’s rights in the world today? Israel. Violating the rights of Palestinian women.
At least that is the view of the UN’s top women’s rights body, the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). CSW ends its annual meeting on Friday, March 20 by condemning only one of the 193 UN member states for violating women’s rights – Israel.
Not Syria. Where government forces routinely employ rape and other sexual violence and torture against women as a tactic of war. Where in 2014 the Assad regime starved, tortured and killed at least 24,000 civilians, and three million people – mostly women and children – are refugees.
In fact, not only is there no possibility that the UN Commission on the Status of Women will criticize Iran, Iran is an elected member of CSW. Sudan – whose president has been indicted for genocide and crimes against humanity – is currently a CSW Vice-Chair...

I’d say the “un” has jumped the shark, but then, the reality is the “un” jumped the shark thousands of other times, so what else is new?
Can anyone DEFINE “women’s rights”?
And once defined, how are the judgments made, on whether these “women’s rights” were violated or not, and what are the remedies suggested to correct these supposed violations?
Definitions. Everything comes down to definitions. If we cannot even use the words of the common language to mean the same thing each and every time they are used, what hope is there for resolution?

I’m printing out this article and anytime anyone ever uses the UN as authoriative support for any proposition in any debate, I’ll pull this out and say, “is that by any chance the same UN that claims that ...”
Did they EVER hear the term JAP?
Things “Palestinian” women who are citizens of Israel can do that they may or may not be able to do in Saudi Arabia:
1. Vote for the candidates of their choosing
2. Drive a car
3. Travel freely and alone
4. Hold a wide variety of jobs
5. Express their views freely in spoken or written form
6. Attend any school or university to which they can gain
admission
7. Wear any type of clothes they desire in public
8. Participate in all sports wearing clothes appropriate
to the sport (don’t have to cover up)
No kidding...
