Why shouldn’t he lose his job?
He brought disrepute to his company, just like he was attempting to do with Chic-Fil-A.
If losing his job as a CFO is a “death penalty” for him, then it goes to show the man has far deeper problems than is evidenced from his unsolicited, unprovoked and completely unwarranted attack on the employee who did nothing to him.
It’s one thing to lose his job - he brought disrepute to his company, yes, and probably deserved to lose his job.
It’s another thing to lose his job and essentially be blacklisted from other jobs. He apparently got other jobs/job offers that he lost when his prospective employers found out about the video. That’s one problem with the internet - because things stay around forever and can be circulated much more widely than before, it can be much harder for someone to recover from a mistake now than it has been in the past.
