... When the young men got back to Keystone, Fowler said they began ingesting the edible pot. He said his cousin favored some peach tart candies, each piece of candy containing 10 mg of the active ingredient in marijuana, the recommended dose for an adult consuming an edible.
But when Goodman consumed several and experienced no immediate effects he kept gobbling them up.
Luke popped two simultaneously after the first two didnt seem to do anything, said Fowler.
Then he said Goodman took a fifth candy, five times the recommended dose. His mother says her son likely didnt see the warning on the back of the container which says, The intoxicating effects of this product may be delayed by two or more hours the standardized serving size for this product includes no more than 10 mg.
Several hours later Fowler said his cousin became jittery then incoherent and talking nonsensically.
He would make eye contact with us but didnt see us, didnt recognize our presence almost. He had never got close to this point, I had never seen him like this, Fowler said.
Fowler says Goodman became pretty weird and relatively incoherent. It was almost like something else was speaking through him.
When family members left the condo Goodman refused to join them. After they left he got a handgun that he typically traveled with for protection, and turned it on himself.

With all you dope pushers out there telling everyone how safe it is, why should anyone worry about what instructions say? I don't recall there being any instructions on a bottle of booze.
And now we begin to see that (as with alcohol) deaths do occur from pot use....interesting side note just released data show that the THC levels that are 3 times greater than pot of the 60s....like moving from beer to Captain Morgan’s 151
Tell me again how all of this is a good thing
A whole lot of people with drinking problems shoot themselves or otherwise commit suicide every year.
Technically true I suppose but taking more of anything to the point of incapacitation and abject stupidity should qualify as an overdose.
Fowler says Goodman....
Dumb and dumber
I heard about a woman who drank too much water and died...
lol
I’ve been told that eating marijuana is very similar to taking LSD.
Oh right. I forgot to ping him. :)
And so this justifies pot doing the same thing? Tell me. When did it start that one bad thing justifies another bad thing?
He would be alive today if his family had had the sense to call 911 and request medical help.
Or if so many people hadn't told him getting high was great fun, and he ought to try it.
No need to ping him. He stalks you and I. And trolls any and all dope threads with his pro-Soros pro-dope agenda.
Apparently, you CAN fix stupid.
Sure. Right.
I mean, it’s not like anyone has ever committed suicide while drunk...
Well played!
Did they jump?
How far off the ground is the top of your head, anyway?
I’ve used marijuana in all forms for more than 35 years, during which time I have graduated college, worked as an executive chef, and have spent nearly 20 years in a career in IT administration. I absolutely do not think that marijuana is anywhere near as dangerous than the damage I have seen alcohol bring. Not everyone who uses alcohol will destroy their lives with it, but plenty of people do. I’ve seen people throw their lives and livelihood with meth, with heroin, with cocaine, and with alcohol. I have not seen the same with marijuana. Yes, some people will use it to detriment, and some people apparently will take too much of an edible or other concentrate and do stupid things like shoot themselves. A handgun in the hands of a person who is heavily intoxicated is almost always a bad thing. Marijuana isn’t for everyone, just like alcohol isn’t for everyone. Some people shouldn’t drive really fast cars or do any number of things that could be a problem. If the people scared of marijuana are going to point out every detrimental situation someone gets themselves into, I’ll continue to point out that life is full of pitfalls to be avoided that are perfectly legal but have bad consequences.
I expect he will show up shortly and tell us that this incident is the fault of everything but pot.
“Excessive alcohol use is a leading cause of preventable death. This dangerous behavior accounted for approximately 88,000 deaths per year from 20062010, and accounted for 1 in 10 deaths among working-age adults aged 2064 years.”
Marijuana has a looooooooong way to go to catch up to alcohol in this department.
I find it hard to keep it lit :-)
