It’s possible that he chickened-out or tried to pull up at the last few seconds and overstressed the aircraft causing it to break-up?
I was thinking 200 mph for an Indy car and 600 mph for the crashing plane.
I have a good friend who had the same thing happen to him. One night he was on his way home on a highway doing 70mph when some guy stepped out in front of his F 150. It demolished his truck and I can only imagine the mess it made. He hard time with it too. Something he will never forget.
I’m a gamer, have played with gamers from all over the world, made some good friends. Most of them who play competitively are in their twenties, and are casually employed, going to college, etc. The older guys were married with children. French guys I played with were a group of Paris police/detectives. The guys from Spain were also in law enforcement. I played with one German, who was a Muslim sympathizer and when I found that out, he was done. One of my favorite gamers was career Navy, and just a great guy. I am a rare woman gamer, and I was shown nothing but respect by just about every gamer I knew, except from a couple of little thugs from Scotland who were vulgar, and apparently didnt like being beaten by a woman. So, I have no idea what your experience has been with gamers but mine has been nothing but positive.
“How can they tell which of the flight crew had left the cockpit?”
They had 20 minutes of recorded conversation between the 2 before the Captain left. I’m quite sure they’ve done voice analysis.
.
I take it you ‘tweet?’
.
Most modern airliners are electric doors with a pilots over ride switch on their center console that has a 5 minute or 20 minute time limit that the over ride can’t be bypassed by the code keypad on the outside of the door......
Airbus has such versus having to leave the controls to go open the door.....
Stay Safe !!
bleeeh
more likely ROP
I don’t think it is hate so much as it is a concern about people who are supposed to be rational contributing adults playing games in a fantasy world... something I will never understand.
It is just another part of the ungrown generation living in their parent’s house or with room mates in an apartment or house while they are in their 30s. Little ambition and little show for it.
Maybe he was a paranoid internet conservative!
Yeah, what about that!?
(I just figured I’d add to the heap of stupid in this thread that you and that other dude are piling up. Keep on shoveling!)
If he flew straight into a mountain even solid granite shouldn’t there be an impact point.
.
Aside from aerodynamic issues, there is nothing non-linear about acceleration/deceleration.
.
The plane debris had to have tumbled for at least a quarter mile.
.
How many of those people living in their parent’s house or in an apartment house while they are in their 30’s FLY PLANES FULL OF PEOPLE INTO THE FRECH ALPS, HMMMM?!
How many do you think?
Should be top question on any investigator's list. "Had he recently begun worshiping the devil?"
Agree
I don’t doubt that. There is a story about someone living close hearing the debris slide down the mountain.
As an ATC, I would have no problem assigning a descent requiring 4,000 fpm. If I needed more, I would add the phrase "if feasible, if not, advise".
As a jumpseater, I have been in a descent of 9,000 FPM in a 727...THAT was steep.
Also, rate of descent is not what causes in-flight breakup, it's overspeed or excessive stress from maneuvering
Yeah that’s the ticket it was the pilot.
Airbus
No, I don't. I do monitor the @NewsOnTheMin page, it seems to have good info very fast. Sometimes later information contradicts things that have been posted, but it's generally pretty good and unfiltered. I don't have a Twitter account and don't really want one.
