“There will be no problem reaching out to the Hispanic electorate with Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio able to speak Spanish fluently. They will be on Spanish radio and the Hispanics will love them for it.”
Then I hope they get on the air soon and start talking. Some of the Spanish talk radio that comes from our universities is outright communist whacko stuff.

I think their ability to speak Spanish fluently is a secret weapon. So does Jeb Bush, whose wife, Columba, is from Mexico; speaks nothing but Spanish at home. If any one of them gets on a Hispanic radio and chats with an interviewer, it will make a huge impact.
The message that dependency on government is existence where, independence of government is fulfillment, is a message that will separate them from the Democrats. A jobs message that puts people to work building a southern fence will be the ticket. It is no wonder the Dems fear this advantage.
I don’t think that Cruz is fluent in Spanish. He describes his capability as Spanglish, and won’t do debates in Spanish.
But he does have a good feel for the culture, and is a credible insider.
