China does have major pollution problems, but I think they are starting to feel the need to improve the situation. When I glanced over the BOAO Forum Agenda (see link at comment #133) I thought I noticed a number of sessions dealing with environmentally related issues. I also think China will be more likely than Russia to pull out of the messes they are in. Unlike Russia, they do have a 2,000 year plus history of civilization and government. Also, unlike Russia which currently has Putin, who is almost a throwback to the one man tyranny of much of Communist history, China has more of a committee based governing system. Yes, I know the old jokes about committees, but that is certainly an improvement over Russian style one man rule. Even though the Politburo has been a committee of sorts, I don’t think it has/had the power and flexibility of the Chinese version. I get the impression there is a somewhat successful crackdown on corruption especially in smaller cities and villages.
The Chinese are given more leeway for entrepreneurship, but the regime actually owns everything. Like any other commie regime, they don’t care whether individuals live or die, except when they’re executing people.
I do think there are two wars....when Russia first goes against Israel it will be defeated...but again recoup from it's losses and try again with all the Arab nations. The timing between these two events I am not certain of...but like you I don't think we'll be here at that time.
But most definitely the stage is falling apart so that it can be reset accordingly...and oddly enough leaders of nations think they are the ones orchestrating this on their own.
Nothing in Scripture backs Russia coming down to Israel twice like that. It does speak of Gog and Magog in Revelation, however from all that I have read concerning that, they do not feel it means Russia again. I believe Gog and Magog is Ezekiel 38-39, and it will come about when you think. I have heard one guy write that he feels it will happen 3.5 years BEFORE the 7 year Trib period because it says that Israel will burn the remains of the Russian/Arab equipment for 3.5 years. That way they burn for 3.5 before the Trib and the first 3.5 years of the Trib, up to the time the AntiChrist comes and defiles the Temple. That could or could not be correct, but sounded okay.
We’ll just have to disagree about Russia...however no doubt we likely won’t be here then anyway .
I agree on the we be gone. I ain’t lookin’ for no Anti-Christ. I am looking for Jesus Christ. On Manna Fest with Perry Stone tonight, and you can catch it on the 300 channels on DirecTV, 363-378 I think are the channels, he had an excellent program on the verses that support the Pre-Trib Rapture. Really good show. Check it out if you can. His programs right now are the ones, started last week, that he taped on his last Israel tour. I think he said something like 20+ shows they taped and will be showing. I don’t always agree with him on everything, like he is solid on the AC will be a Muslim from Syria or Iraq, but I am not totally sold on that theory yet, but I like most all his teachings. At least he brings up the Bible verses to show his opinions. The guy is at least well studied.

As far as Perry goes much of what he propagates through his ministry is controversial and, at points, heretical. But then he is Pentecostal so we know they can and do deviate from what is written.... He teaches that healing can happen through daily communion in one of his books. And his teaching on generational curses is fully con-biblical and he's into Bible Codes...as examples.
Perry's critics refer to his prophecy revelations as “Newspaper Eschatology”, which many do so today...basically seeing what's in the news and then lining the news up to biblical scripture to substantiate it...which is not the way to go in interpreting scripture. But many do that in the Pentecostal Churches.
So I personally really wouldn't seek his opinion for prophecy matters...
