He will be charged with desertion among other charges.

Desertion in the face of the enemy used to be a death penalty offense. I've heard some chatter saying that only applied when under fire.
The other charge, however, while sounding more innocuous (misconduct in front of the enemy) actually does carry a death penalty as the primary option, with lesser punishment at the discretion of the members of the court martial.

How about this one, lovers for life....
You know if we still had a Republican party, they would be looking into treason charges against the POTUS. Was this all a scam to free 5 Taliban commanders? Bergdahls unit said they heard him over the radio asking for directions to the Taliban and later on the Taliban knew their positions. Was Bergdahl a defector who took up arms against the US? Did Obama know this? Did Bergdahl get tired of playing Taliban terrorist and so he made a deal with them - they concocted this scheme of making pretend he was a prisoner to free the Taliban commanders all of which Obama was party to?
