In early February, the Pentagon declassified a 386-page report from 1987, exposing for the first time ever the actual depth of top-secret military cooperation between the United States and Israel including, amazingly, information about Israels unacknowledged nuclear program.
In view of the caustic tension that has increased lately between Washington and Jerusalem, the timing of the publications declassification, after a long legal process, might raise a few eyebrows. I have some knowledge about the build-up process of Israels nuclear capacity and after reading the report in question I must express my astonishment: I have never seen an official American document disclosing such extensive revelation on subjects that until now were regarded by both administrations as unspeakable secrets.
The report titled Critical Technological Assessment in Israel and NATO Nations describes in detail the march of Israeli military and technological advancement in the 1970s and 80s. The authors drew particular attention to the development and progression of Israels nuclear infrastructure and research labs.
The most surprising segment in the report states that the Israelis are developing the kind of codes which will enable them to make hydrogen bombs. That is, codes which detail fission and fusion processes on a microscopic and macroscopic level. In practice, this short expression confirms that in the eighties, Israeli scientists were reaching the capabilities to employ hydrogen fusion, possible creating the sort of bombs that are thought to be a thousand times more powerful than atom bombs.
It should be emphasized that in the history of the relations between the two countries, there is no other published official American document that mentions in any way the Israelis development of hydrogen bombs. Moreover, the report proclaims that the labs in Israel are equivalent to our Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore and Oak Ridge National Laboratories.

Jewish establishment sounds alarm as White House rhetoric intensifies [Israel]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3271564/posts
Leading figures in Washingtons pro-Israel community are calling on the Obama administration to turn down the temperature.
For years defensive of their support for US President Barack Obama and his White House, Washingtons pro-Israel establishment now fears that the train of US-Israel relations is running off the tracks. Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, their reactions ranged from deep concern to bewilderment.
The fact that the outcome of a Democratic election in Israel seems to be of great concern to the Obama administration, said David Harris, executive director of the American Jewish Committee, is cause for deep anxiety and puzzlement.
Whatever the failings of the prime minister, the way this is unfolding runs completely contrary to the spirit of US-Israel relations, Harris said. The US appears to have a reasoned interest in prolonging the crisis.
As someone who was critical of several steps by [Netanyahu] during the campaign leading up to his re-election, said Abe Foxman, longtime national director of the Anti-Defamation League, I am even more troubled by statements now coming out of the White House.
What we are hearing from the Obama Administration raises deeper questions about their intentions and perspectives, Foxman said. From the beginning of the Obama years, there was a disturbing indifference to the mindset of the Israeli public.
Obamas revenge against Israel

President Obama is angry with Israeli voters for re-electing Benjamin Netanyahu, and hes willing to risk the lives and security of Israeli citizens to show it.
The State Department is reportedly considering reversing the decades-long policy of protecting Israels security at the United Nations and is threatening to allow the Security Council to compel Israel to enter forced negotiations with Hamas-controlled Palestine.
This action would be recklessand shameful. At a time when anti-Semitic attacks are rocking Europe, and the need for a secure, Jewish state has rarely been more apparent, the Obama administration would force Israel to negotiate with entities that have sworn to wipe it off the map.
The unity government between the Palestinian Authority and Hamas is a sham. Hamas is controlling Gaza and would likely control all Palestinian territories if the Palestinian Authority would permit a vote. Even if Israel were forced to deal with the Palestinian Authority, this deal would have no impact on Hamasand it may even enhance Hamass power.
The Great ObamaNations and his partys contumelyness toward Jews, Israel and in particular to PM Netanyahu will be completely overlooked by the worldly and self loathing members of the Jewish community.
We have a real problem here... I wonder what the Mosaad is up to?
Israel should be able to do this too. The must have proof of the deep dark secrets that Obama has hidden from the American people. Now would be the time to start releasing some of this info.
Obama just might start a third world war.
>>And what the heck does he think will happen if Israel is backed into a corner? What an fn idiot.<<
I second the F’n idiot thang.
Latest developments that Iran refuses to allow flash inspections of Iranian sites unfettered will ultimately end in war.
My opinion is the only thing holding back Israel is the ongoing negotiations. This is why one deadline after another expires to see yet another deadline set. This keeps Israel off balance.
An enemy of your enemy...
Maybe there’s something about the USS Liberty getting dusted off.
It is the existence of Israel and the lives therein that is stake. Nothing less.
Let’s face it. Iran will never stop it’s quest for nuclear weapons. It ain’t gonna happen.
Even if they agree to a deal, they will procrastinate, stonewall, sidestep, lie the whole way through until they end up back in negotiations.
when is it enough ?
are the people of the USA helpless ?
and our Mil ? Will they take any s#it that’s shoveled out?
what will we all say of ourselves when the few survivors
stand alone among the ruins ?
” we should have acted” will not suffice
I hardly think Israel has been weakened by this. It's just Obama being Obama, and rubbing in the fact that he doesn't buy any of Netenyahu's recent tap-dancing and walking back of statements.
Realistically, there are things that cannot be changed or prevented with out some kind major military action. It happened during WWII.
However, it is these times when we need to remember who are allies are.
That makes me think of Psalm 2 when the Messiah of Israel returns to earth ...
Psalm 2 NKJV
1 Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
7 “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.
8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ “
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Amen!
