Employee to Home Depot: Stop pushing homosexuality
GOP USA ^ | 3/23/2015 | Michael F. Haverluck

Posted on 03/25/2015 5:53:16 AM PDT by HomerBohn

In an open letter to his employer, Home Depot employee Timothy Noffsinger, expressed loud and clear how he feels about the company’s promotion of homosexual behavior.

Besides going against his deeply held religious convictions, Noffsinger, a member of Denver Bible Church, expressed in his letter how its aggressive endorsement of homosexuality in the workplace is detrimental to productivity.

"What would happen if Craig Menear, Chairman and CEO of The Home Depot (THD), were to appear at the next board meeting in lipstick and a wig wearing a skirt and pantyhose?” Noffsinger asked. “In the midst of such absurdity, could the Board of Directors function as though there were nothing wrong and work effectively?”

Noffsinger goes on to answer his own question, demonstrating how disruptive Home Depot’s pro-homosexual environment has been — not only to its employees, but to its customers, as well.

“I doubt it … That same kind of discord would take hostage any workplace,” Noffsinger contends. “Certainly, it harms the professional image of the North Lakewood Home Depot store where I work."

Noffsinger points out in his letter that employees have a particularly difficult time every summer when they’re forced to observe and promote LGBT month.

"The Home Depot presentation seeks to redefine morality, and therefore effectively defines religion for THD employees,” Noffsinger asserts.

The Home Depot worker argues that the company demands its employees to deny their Christian beliefs and pledge allegiance to its new LGBT-friendly belief system.

“It is self-evident that what LGBT people practice and promote is perverse,” Noffsinger proclaims. “It is denying God's order of creation, working against nature and human success."

Corporate values trump all

Regardless of the values and religious beliefs held by Home Depot employees and customers, the corporate team at the nation’s largest home improvement chain has zero tolerance for those who don’t agree with its worldview when it comes to homosexuality.

Radio talk show host and author Bob Enyart, the senior pastor of Denver Bible Church, also contributed to the open letter addressed to Home Depot.

"In the godless worldview of Home Depot, they withhold treating some employees with their claimed corporate values,” explains Enyartn who leads his congregation at in Arvada, Colo. “To this home improvement retailer, diversity, respect, and tolerance do not apply to Bible-believing Christian employees.”

According to the outspoken pro-life and pro-family advocated, Enyart, inclusion and equality is far from Home Depot’s policy — for those who adhere to moral absolutes, as outlined in the Bible, that is.

“Timothy is right that THD is 'preaching religion to its employees' and that 'Christians are ostracized by LGBT promotion,'" Enyart added in the letter.

Neffsinger sees himself as a defender of his faith by standing up to the political correctness and homosexual activism at Home Depot that has rendered all who aren’t in agreement with it as essentially wrong and bigoted.

"As a Christian, it is my God-given duty and pleasure to fight against evil by speaking the truth,” Neffsinger asserted. “And as far as Federal Law protects me as a citizen to be a Christian and live accordingly, I expect THD to honor that.

Neffsinger says that Home Depot’s pro-LGBT policy is far from promoting equality and love as it purports.

“[T]o have one's employer promote this evil … discriminates against Christian[s] and all well-meaning employees."

In the early 90’s....out in San Diego with a Fortune 500 company which I will leave their name out of this story...they had the CFO who took a month off, then returned on a Monday in full drag....he’d had the full operation done was a ‘she’ (at least he felt that way). It took about thirty minutes for the news to reach the CEO.

Within two hours...he had a formal package drafted up and had the CFO escorted out of the building....terminated.

The HR folks warned the CEO what would happen. CEO didn’t care. Legal case ensues...about a year later, they appear in court. The CEO wouldn’t even defend himself to the judge....he wanted the court appearance and wanted the judge to proclaim the amount of money involved. He didn’t care about the money or the loss to the company....he didn’t want the reputation of the company to be set to the tune of some fetish or sexual behavior, end of the story.

I think the CFO got around $1.5 million. Oddly, he or ‘she’ never found employment again. Whether the money was enough for his/her loss....unknown. The minute you transform your purpose in life or work in life to be about some sexual activity....then it’s not ‘work’ any more...it’s something beyond that and you need to think about the big picture in life.

If you don’t like your job, quit. Otherwise shut up about it.

Exactly.

Allowing “gays” to be “out” at work creates a hostile work environment for Christians. Clearly, this is an attempt by the company to purge its workforce of right-thinking believers — or at the very least, to muzzle them.

Home Depot is taking a suicidal approach to its business. Who wants to deal with people that brag about their perverted behavior? Would you want to purchase something from someone who adds to your risk of getting AIDs and other diseases?

Can Home Depot survive as a business if its customer base is composed only of homosexuals and Democrats?

However, using their own petard to hoist them by is appropriate and every opportunity to do so needs to be taken.

And don't be surprised if they take that petard and use it to escort the guy out the door. Home Depot is free to do what they want. And if people don't like corporate policy they they are free to move on. I have no idea how much LGBT people spend at home improvement stores or how many LGBT employees Home Depot has, but it's obviously enough that they think it justfies making nice to them.

At a certain avionics corporation where I worked, yes, he could dress in drag and all would be expected to go on as usual.

We have a Mennard’s, which I prefer over either HD or Lowe’s anyway. I’m not aware of any controversy surrounding them, in fact, IIRC, it’s quite the opposite.

I agree that he is right to take a stand. He is right about the absurdity too. Good for him. Just do business and quit social engineering.

Well, if it bothers him that much then quit.

That mentality is quite the antithesis of what is routinely expressed here on FR. Would you suggest that people of moral courage keep changing jobs, in perpetuity? Would you not tire of running?

I applaud this man for taking the moral stand against the evil infiltrating our lives. Stand for something or fall for anything.

Well, if they’re doing a great job in the home decor section...just like we don’t hire a plumber to sell lumber.

“Quit” is the proper attitude to have, but I’m no longer sure it’s the “right” one.

For the last several decades Progressives have been advancing their agenda by deliberately creating situations that allow them to run to the courts. Its called “lawfare”. Getting jobs with companies to create situations that justify discrimination suits is one example. Seeking services (such as trying to buy wedding cakes from Christian bakers) that justify such suits is another.

Saying “just quit” cedes the political field to the other side. We need to start fighting them using their own tactics, if only to discourage the use of those tactics.

In this case the guy is probably looking to get fired. Afterwhich he’ll sue for civil rights discrimination based on grounds of religion and creed. He may not win, but he’ll certainly force HD to mount a costly legal defense. One that will be pretty public so will also cost them customers.

Any one have info on Lowes?

Lowes is cleaner, and their staff don't look like they do meth.

But I go to a locally owned hardware store for most things. Easy in and out. Always have hard to find stuff.

“Can Home Depot survive as a business if its customer base is composed only of homosexuals and Democrats?”...

Unfortunately, there are many companies like Home Depot but have kept their weird such policies quiet. I worked for such a company which I cannot legally mention. I applaud the employee for his efforts and hope he finds employment to his liking, it is possible.
