Ted Cruz is no Barack Obama, he wants Americans to know.
The Texas senator told Fox News Megyn Kelly on Tuesday night that no one would mistake him for a Senate backbencher, like the current president.

Pressed by Kelly on what he had accomplished as a senator, Cruz said what Republicans have done over and over again is stopping bad things from happening.
In my time in the Senate, there are a lot of faults Ive had, but nobody would accuse me of being a backbencher, Cruz said on The Kelly File, arguing that then-Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and the Democrats obstructed efforts for two years.
What Ive tried to do is lead on the great challenges of the day, Cruz said, whether its stopping Obamacare or stopping the out-of-control debt, or stopping executive amnesty or defending our constitutional rights or standing with Israel, or stopping Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
Rand Paul, who is expected to announce a presidential run of his own early next month, said Monday that he is a more electable candidate than his colleague from Texas.
Ted Cruz is a conservative. But it also goes to winnability, Paul said.
I guess what makes us different is probably our approach as to how we would make the party bigger, he said. And Im a big believer that you should stand on principle and be true to your principles, but I also think that we should take those principles and try to bring in new people with them.
Responding to the comments, Cruz said he could build broad coalitions of support and win, as he had done in the past.
We brought together conservatives and libertarians and evangelicals and women and young people and Hispanics and Reagan Democrats, he said of his 2012 run for Senate.
Not guilty! Not even a little...
I think you need to ask some provocative questions so the the person interviewed will respond. Contrast her with the soft ball and silly interview questions that Obama gets.

He may be right if everyone were card carrying members of the Justin Beeber fan club.
I think the more you listen to Cruz the better he sounds.
Yeah.... I’ve liked him for a long time now. Unless something very drastic happens I already know I’ll vote for him whenever given the opportunity.
$$$$ Done $$$$
I’m upset with them too. I’ve started emailing them about it.
So whats not to like?

Her affinity for the homosexual agenda. Arguably the most vile attack on the fabric of this country. To me, it makes a physically beautiful woman very ugly.
And I don’t want homosexuals condemned, just their behavior recognized as sinful rather than celebrated.
He has his Paulbot club to make him look more popular than he is. They still think they were robbed since their candidate didn’t win the convention with 4% of the primary vote.
Pray America is waking
I got over Meghyn Kelly on election night 2012 when she could barely disguise her glee at the announcement Obama had been re-elected. Well actually when Newt had to school her on the judiciary during the GOP debates. :-)
Nothing wrong with asking tough questions.
Senator Cruz is a big boy. The tougher the questions, the more he will shine.
This is why Hillary will have such a tough time of it if she runs. She's always protected by the media and handed softball questions. When she gets into a legitimate debate with someone, she can't take the heat.
