One of whom is the boyfriend who waited hours to announce the disappearance and "ransom demand"?
Weird story. Clarity certainly not enhanced by some lousy writing!
My guess is she was murdered and the boyfriend would have to be the number one suspect at this point.
Someone abducts your woman at 3 am and demands a ransom and you don’t report it until 2 pm?
Does she come from a wealthy family? Physical therapists don’t make millions, so I am wondering why they would think of kidnapping her for a ransom.
90% of the time, the victim knew the perp. 90% of that time, it’s the spouse or boyfriend.
Waiting for 11 hours is pretty hard to explain, if during that 11 hours he received some sort of notification that she was kidnapped.
I bet the police will be looking into him for exactly that. I wonder how many ransom kidnappings there are in the U.S. every year.
The only way it makes sense is if he was warned not to contact the police.
I was wondering that too.
Or that he would be told that he would contacted later.
In Southern California, they will kidnap for comparatively small bucks, because it’s a quick way to ear a few hundred or couple of thousand.
Almost any of us, if we were in this situation, could raise $5,000 within 24 hours if we had to.
On second thought, maybe it isn’t him. The police say he isn’t a person of interest. They must be have information that clears him. They’d be all over him otherwise.
"What year are we in, do people still take ransom?" Rolovic asked.
Isn't kidnapping for ransom still fairly common in South America?
Prayers.
Without intending to cast dispersions on the boyfriend, they will often say that to cause the boyfriend to relax, so he doesn’t go anywhere and become hard to find. That’s just part of the investigation.
Until they find the person they believe did it, nobody is really cleared from suspicion unless the evidence is beyond approach.
If he waited 11 hours to report the issue - HE’S LYING BIG TIME.
Let’s assume he’s telling the truth, for the sake of the arguement.
You phone the police and police sends a squad car out to chat. One of the kidnappers, who was watching the house, sees a cop car outside.
What do you think would happen to the girl?
More like 99% of the time for both. Eleven hours is a nice chunk of time to dispose of a body while you make up a story. If she’s still alive, I’ll eat my hat.
