I had a dream last year that Cruz would run in the GOP primary for Cornyn's seat, beat him resoundly, and assume that Senate seat with a handy win over an idiot Dem, while the GOP governor Abbot would appoint a solid conservative to take Cruz's former seat, and a special election would be held with a Cruz-approved conservative winning.

Would have been two upstanding Senators from my state, instead of one who is and one RINO.

Cruz is vastly more popular in this state than Cornyn and he would have won easily.

Just a dream, but the events today confirm the worst about Cornyn.

Cornyn is on board The Cheap Labor Express. The paid men in the GOP are more numerous than those who side with the citizens. Sessions, Cruz, Lee, Vitter maybe a couple of others are the opposition in the Senate to “Comprehensively Screwing Americans Out Of Their Country”.

The House has a few more good guys, but they are not the majority of the GOP caucus. We have to stop holding our noses while voting.

Actually, in this case I don’t see Cornyn’s stand as being unreasonable. Now, if it gets down to Cruz v. Bush and Cornyn still will not endorse Cruz, then we will have something to attack him for.
