Harrisburg, Pa. A police officer was charged Tuesday with criminal homicide after investigators concluded she shot an unarmed motorist in the back as he lay facedown after a traffic stop over an expired inspection sticker.
Authorities accused Hummelstown police Officer Lisa J. Mearkle of shooting David Kassick, 59, twice Feb. 2 without legal justification. She was jailed without bail.
They said Mearkle had attempted to pull over Kassick for expired inspection and emissions stickers before he sped away. She caught up to Kassick near his sister's home, where he got out and ran.

D*mn, that woman has a problem.
I hope she gets life.
JBT Alert.
Damn website crap.
“What’d he do, hit on her when she had him down on the ground?”
"...[Officer Lisa J.] Mearkle, 36, told investigators she shot because he would not show her his hands and she thought he was reaching into his jacket for a gun..."
PMS’ing?
Everything is bad about this incident. And I'm sorry, but I don't believe female cops should be working alone in areas like this.
WELLLLL my Pa would have said “ Son I told you them Women need to just stay at home where they belong”. Just thought I would share that. Go ahead Flame on could not help myself often remember His remarks good and bad.
I hope the officer is sentenced to life without parole.
On a side not, I strongly suspect the victim was white.
After all, this happened on February 2 (a month and a half ago) and there have been no “protests”, no riots, and neither Jesse nor Al have shown up on the scene.
Mississippi just did away with mandatory auto inspections and stickers. Looks like it’s a good thing.
Don’t we need to se her picture before we decide whether or not she is guilty?
“And I’m sorry, but I don’t believe female cops should be working alone in areas like this. “
I don’t believe women should be LEO’s period, because they all seem to have an attitude that isn’t good when you have a lethal weapon at your disposal. Same thing goes for female DA’s. They all seem to have some personal point to make.
To my understanding the more women police, the higher the use of force rate for that law enforcement group for both the male and female cops.
