"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Ted Cruz didn't need a teleprompter because he believes what he said and they were his own words.

Independence, integrity, a willingness to take risks for ones beliefs, and a vision for the future....DC, the elite and the media are up in arms.

Most of the real world thinks it's pretty funny. Real people rejoice in the Wizard-of-Oz essence of the thoughtmasters when someone has the nerve to confront them.

Dear Rush,

In comparing Ted Cruz to Obama, you missed the larger point.

Ted let us know with his speech yesterday exactly who he is and where he came from.

Obama has never let us know who he really is and where exactly did he come from.

The only think we know for sure about Obama is through his actions.

"Everything about Barack Obama that they said qualified him they are saying disqualifies Ted Cruz."

Ted Cruz believes what he says and does not need to read his own thoughts

Cruz scares the hell out of liberals because he isn’t an establishment Republican who can be counted on to cave in whenever they start calling him names.

One thing about not using a prompter is that the media won’t have an opportunity to slam Cruz until after they hear what he says which means more people will get what he says unfiltered. That definitely knots their panties in a wad.

While I am sure that he had rehearsed the speech a little bit, the fact that he was able to do it without a teleprompter is amazing.

He also was able to ad-lib when he spoke of Africa and when a few African-Americans cheered he said, “Diverse crowd tonight!” That was a gem, too!

So everyone’s wetting their panties about Ted Cruz doing that big long speech without a prompter - that reminds me of Sarah Palin winging it at her big moment when the power to her prompter ‘unexpectedly’ (wink wink) failed then she pulled it off and brought down the house. The MSM reaction is the same in both cases - they are too dumb to do something like that.

Cruz freaks out the left, literally. And he needs to keep right on going with his stategy.

The more caterwauling by the MSM about Cruz the better.Thats free advertising.
