Suicide-bombers killed at least 137 people and wounded more than 350 in Yemen at two Shia mosques in the capital city of Sanaa on Friday. The very next day, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula seized control of the city of al-Houta, and the day after that, the Iranian-backed Houthi rebel movement conquered parts of Taiz, the nation's third-largest city. Rival militias are battling for control of the international airport in the coastal city of Aden, and the US government just announced that American troops are evacuating Al Anad airbase.

It’s not “falling apart.” It’s experiencing the glory of valuing the diversity of the multicultural rainbow.

Bless your heart thanks for posting your information. Breitbart had an article today stating the administration is still claiming success in Yemen. Those people in the White House are seriously split from reality.

Yemen couldn’t possibly fall apart. It was NEVER “together”.

The one question I have is will the Saudis intervene. There is no way they will tolerate an Iranian satellite on the border. When there was a Shia uprising in Bahrain the Saudis sent in the tanks.

Also to be considered is Oman to the North. They fought a long and very ugly war with South Yemen (before South Yemen and North Yemen were one Nation). At that time in the 60s and early 70s South Yemen was in effect a communist Soviet vassal of the USSR.

This was an ugly vicious war. British trainers and British Airmen in the employee of the Omani government achieved victory over the communists.

Oman will not tolerate a threat to them on their Southern border. Today Oman has a first class Army and Air Force and a loyal citizenship. They are not to be trifled with.

I do miss the days when one could go down to the palace in Muscat. If you got to close a lone guard would politely motion you to go back. I would wave and he would wave and we would both smile. I am sure there were many other guards that I could not see. At that time there were no iron gates to the palace. I hope there are none there today some 35 years later.

Oman will fight but they prefer to fight out of the spotlight of the media.

If anyone reading this posts knows of Colonel Roberts they know of which I speak. He was a hard man, a good man, and friend of Oman.
