Obama rejects Netanyahu olive branch over election rhetoric
Telegraph UK ^ | March 22, 2015 | By Peter Foster

The Obama administration showed no signs of mending fences with Benyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, last night as preparations began in Jerusalem for talks to form of a new coalition government. Despite calls by Reuven Rivlin, Israel’s president, to begin a “healing process” following last week’s bitterly divisive election, Mr Obama has refused to allow Mr Netanyahu to take back comments apparently ruling out a Palestinian state while he was in power.

"We take him at his word when he said that it wouldn't happen during his prime ministership,” Mr Obama said in an interview, reiterating that his administration would now “evaluate what other options are available”.

Mr Obama’s remarks reflect deep anger in the administration at Mr Netanyahu apparently ruling out a two-state solution for the Middle East and using racially charged warnings that Israeli Arabs were voting “in droves” to scare up votes on the Israeli Right.

“We indicated that that kind of rhetoric was contrary to what is the best of Israel's traditions,” Mr Obama told The Huffington Post, arguing that Mr Netanyahu’s comments had undermined the fabric of Israeli democracy.

“Although Israel was founded based on the historic Jewish homeland and the need to have a Jewish homeland, Israeli democracy has been premised on everybody in the country being treated equally and fairly,” Mr Obama said.

The reason statesmen do not publically call each other names (aside from the fact they’re mostly adults) is that they may need to deal with that person and they never know when that may happen. It makes dealing difficult if you’ve called somebody names or said bad things about them. This is why we need adults in office and not spoiled children.

Obama former campaign operatives aided V15 in busing Arabs to the polls. Same Arabs that cheered Hamas bombing Israel
The Arabs voted for a party in which:
1/3 are Islamists who want to destroy Israel and impose a caliphate in its stead.
1/3 are Arab nationalists who want to destroy Israel and impose an Arab state in its stead.
and 1/3 are Communists who want to destroy Israel and impose a dictatorship of the proletariat in its stead.
It is really to the glory of Israel that they can participate in democratic elections.

If Netanyahu is backing down on his statement, then shame on him. (I tend to doubt that is the case, though)

As Obama knows very well, and as Netanyahu has made clear repeatedly after the election ... Netanyahu has not abandoned his Bar-Ilan policy speech regarding his support for the Two-State Solution.

Obama is trying to take a misunderstood campaign blurb and turn into a major policy reversal. It’s no such thing and Obama knows it!

This is what I said regarding what the Liberal press and Obama are doing ...

— — —

This a FALSE statement from the press and from Obama. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has REPEATEDLY sought to correct the mistaken impression that he does not support a TWO-STATE SOLUTION.

He does support it and he says that he has maintained that same support ... going back to his Bar-Ilan speech, when Obama first got into office. He says his position in support of the Two-State Solution has not changed since then.

What it is ... is that the liberal press and Obama want to hammer on Netanyahu no matter what ... and they’ve picked up on a LIE that Netanyahu does not support the Two-State Solution.

Here’s Netanyahu’s support for a Two-State Solution from what he has been referring to in the last several days to COUNTER THIS LIE!

Address by PM Netanyahu at Bar-Ilan University [Relates to Netanyahu’s Re-election]

And, as we can see from this, in regards to what you just said ... Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the consummate STATESMAN, while Obama is the Petulant Child! And it’s very dangerous when a Petulant Child is given the powers of the Office of the President of the United States of America!

Obama should reconsider for his own survival. God has promised in Genesis 12:3 that He will protect the descendants of Abraham who are also under the protection of the Davidic Covenant (II Samuel 7) and who live in Israel (Deuteronomy 29:1-29 and Deuteronomy 30:1-10).

Unfortunately, God's protection of Israel, in whatever forms it may take, could also spill over onto us, the American people--there is no provision as near as I can find, that the people of an offending nation are exempt for His judgment in this matter.

I would take Bibi at his word.

The day before parliamentary elections, Bibi, the Israeli leader, said he was in danger of losing and made a hard shift to the right — abruptly reversing his 2009 declaration of support for a two-state solution to the decades old conflict with the Palestinians. His victory on election day, which defied pre-election polls, was widely attributed to the late shift in strategy.

Bibi said it and I believe it.

Are you saying that Bibi was lying to his country?

With the election of Netanyahu, the whole project of the two-state solution isn’t feasible — it is impossible.
