The administration of Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) has previously ordered its employees not to mention the term climate change in the course of their official duties. Now, in what appears to be a further attempt at chilling discussion of the threat to the planet, a state employee has been suspended for mentioning the forbidden phrase in meeting notes and told to get a doctors release before returning to work.

Oh! The huge Stigmanity!
Ruh roh. Now I’m thinkin’ that if “they” find out I’m a.........denier, will “they” cut off my SS check? Oh noes....
A literal reading of the reprimand this guy got shows the article quoted is over hyping what had happened to fit with their own agenda which is to bash any GOP politician or anyone who supports the pipeline project.
Not until you’ve collected more in SS payments than you and your employer have paid into this “insurance” program. :0)
Personally, I am all-in for reprimanding and even firing a State Government employee who inserts political trigger-words into their official vocabulary.
Please tell me, just what are NOT political trigger words these days?
Looks like he was reprimanded for insubordination, conduct unbecoming a public employee and a handful of other things.
You have a point - to a point. The first indication would be anyone who says ‘climate’ with reference to something we need to do to stop ‘change’....
We got a lot of fruitless hope, and a helluva lot of very bad change from Obama. We don’t need any more of it, frankly. Or from FB Al Gore either.

You have to admit, though, the higher ups cannot implement and disseminate their plans without the foot soldiers in the trenches. Without them, the leaders’ words are just blather to media. Un-shoe a horse and it won’t last long on the hard road.
LOL!
Refreshing counter attack!!!
They can't all be fired. Someone has to dig the hole, and someone needs to lean on the shovel.
But with me working hard to get rid of ALL of them, and others fighting to keep the ones they HAVE to have, maybe a healthy tension can build where useful State employees stay. Barely.
I'd love to see the dead wood go after paying their debt to society.

I guess I could be persuaded to a few “bring out your dead” wagoneers. :0)
I could see questioning the sanity of anyone who buys into the liberal ideology. The whole thing is insane.
It looks to me reading the letter that he tried to submit a document that was not a true representation of what was said at the conference. The guy in question to me looks like one of those petty bureacrats that given enough time in the system will rise to the level when he begins issuing edicts which may have the force of law. Of course, the edicts will conform to his beliefs, supported or not.
Today Pitts, the lefty columnist who is printed in our local rag, conflated what happened into an issue of global warming/climate change using any change in climate to suggest it is man made and can be corrected, fixed, or arrested. And to show this is always a conserted effort, the editorial characature was that of Gov Scot telling individuals standing in water up to their necks not to mind the humidity with the water lapping at the second floors of buildings around them.
The big lie has been mastered, full court all the time 24/7. It is sickening.
As Michael Savage says, liberalism is a mental disorder.
“which is an undeniable threat to the low-lying state”
PROVE IT you lying bastards, and I hope you like Prison for FRAUD.
