Thanks for the info.
(BKMK for next weeks break.....print)
“Ive got that book. The frustrating thing about getting a theraputic amount of K2 is, its primarily found in an obscure Japanese fermented food called Natto. It smells awful and most Americans gag on the smell. Ive never found it, but have looked.”
Interesting... I’ve found a number of references to natto and actually located it (frozen) at a Japanese grocery here in Austin. Sounds disgusting.
Anyhow, this K2 thing may explain my cravings for cheese (sharp, hard cheeses) since I take beta carotene (vit. A precursor) and D3 daily.
Looks like I need a bit more research time... ;)
Disturbing to say the least, particularly the Scientology stuff. I’ve been researching a lot on this calcium, magnesium, Vit D3 and Vit K2 stuff and how to avoid calcium being deposited in the soft tissues or even leached out of the bones, and I found his video to run along the lines of what I’ve been reading from many sources, MDs, NDs and nutritionists included. I liked the way it was presented, and I apologize to all if I’ve inadvertently posted anything from a disreputable source.
Interesting! Bookmarked.

“When a talk begins with “My theory” instead of published findings you know you best guard your wallet.”
Most “published findings” arise from someone’s theory.
Start drinking a large glass of Alpiste (canary seed milk) every night about 7-8PM. It will lower your blood sugar and it flushes fat and chloresteral out of the system. You also lose weight. We used it for 3 months and Mr. GG2 lowered his sugar 15 points. You can buy the powder in your local health food stores. Make sure its the food grade kind.
Interesting. I have been doing the D3 for years but now I’m going to go get some k2 at the health food store.
Here is the best one, in my opinion:

High chloresterol numbers can indicate a minor blood borne fungal issue.

Thanks. I will be ordering that. I pay twice that for far less (150 capsules but I have to take three to give me only a fraction of what is in one serving of the Life Extension). I know their products are high quality too. Right now I’m taking MRM from the health food store. Just for my edification: is MK7 just another name for K2, or is MK7 an additional nutrient?

Menaquinone-4 and Menaquinone-7 (MK4 and MK7) are both types of Vitamin K2. More info:

But this must suffice in regard to the long-lived castes and nations who are said to exist for a very long period either on account of their soil and climate, or their diet, or both. I can fittingly show you that your good hopes are of easy attainment by recounting that on every soil in every clime men who observe the proper exercise and the diet most sutiable for health have been long-lived.
- Lucian of Samosta in MACROBIOI, circa 150 A.D.
MACROBIOIO means "long-lived ones" from MACROBIOS, "long-lived", which is of course the root of "macrobiotic". For some reason, the translator chose to call the essay OCTOGENARIANS. He also opines that the work is falsely attributed to Lucian, but it remains among his works since, "... It is valuable, however, as a document, and not uninteresting in spots."
Or another way to put it: magnesium deficiency. Calcium does not dissolve and absorb if mag is too low. Almost all of us have really low mag except those of us that supplement with it.

There are many reasons why cholesterol might be high. I am anything but complacent about mine. My HDL hasn’t come uo as much as I should have, on as low cwrb as I have been eating, and my CRP levels are raised.
But I am convinced that taking drugs to lower cholesterol wihout identifying and dealing with the actual cause is less than worthless.
K2 is available in pill form. I take a mix of MK4 and MK7, and a fermented cod liver oil and butter oil mix.
I think homemade kefir, preferably made from raw milk is very high in K2. I use at least 1/2 cup a day and I make it by putting kefir grains in a quart jar of milk and leaving it sit on the counter for 24 hours.
You can obtain kefir grains at www.culturesforlife.com and they will last a lifetine if you take care of them.
