While taking a good deal of criticism for his seeming lack of knowledge on foreign policy this week, Republican Ben Carson told Bloomberg Politics that he is in process of taking in a great deal of information in that regard.
In a statement to Bloomberg Politics, Carson acknowledged that he was constantly boning up on foreign policy. Although I have visited the Baltic Rim and over 57 other countries around the world, he said, I am still in the stage of rapidly learning about the political dynamics of global politics.

He also took the time to offer up something of a unique alternative to the one- or two-state solution when it comes to Palestine. Whats unclear is how realistic the proposal might be in the eyes of Palestinians, along with some governments content to use the issue as it stands against Israel. Some might argue that a solution that leaves Israel intact isnt exactly what they are after.
We need to look at fresh ideas, said Carson. I dont have any problem with the Palestinians having a state, but does it need to be within the confines of Israeli territory? Is that necessary, or can you sort of slip that area down into Egypt? Right below Israel, they have some amount of territory, and it can be adjacent. They can benefit from the many agricultural advances that were made by Israel, because if you fly over that area, you can easily see the demarcation between Egypt and Israel, in terms of one being desert and one being verdant. Technology could transform that area. So why does it need to be in an area where theres going to be temptation for Hamas to continue firing missiles at relatively close range to Israel?

The palestinians need to be dispersed.
How does this clown poll in the teens ahead of Ted Cruz? He has his 15 minutes of fame. He should do back to his much more important work of actually saving people’s lives and being a role model for African-American male youth who badly need them.
What Moslem country would accept the pseudo-Palestinians?
Carson is spot on.
I thought they were already expelled from Egypt in the past? Ya, I’d say Egypt would have to be part of these “Middle East Peace” negotiations.
What's he going to do when Egypt tells him that they aren't interested in his scheme?
there is a palestinian state...it’s called “Jordan”
First of all, that won’t stop Iran from using an ICBM or fighter plane. Second, Palestinians are not Egyptians, because Egyptians are not Arabs.
Dr. Carson needs to stick to medicine and stay out of Cairo-practice.
(P.S. What did the chiropractor say to the patient? “Glad to see your back...”)
I’m afraid you are correct. He should have not made the comment
The malcontent trash and Islamo detritus on the West Bank is rightfully Jordanian. That in Gaza is rightfully Egyptian.
Neither Egypt nor Jordan wants to accept liability that comes with the territory containing the human trash
That’s one problem with the idea. Also, the Palestinians don’t simply want a state; they want the land where the Jews live, nothing else.
They were nomadic and didn’t have a state and forcing them on Jordan just creates another problem for Israel.
They need to be dispersed all around the mideast and the words Palestine and Palestinian forgotten.
Those musings do not enhance his credentials.
A “Palestinian State” was created in 1947, it is called JORDAN.
How bout sending them back to Jordan where they came from? Oh that’s right, Jordan doesn’t want them back.
I don’t believe they are even a distinctive ethnic group. As near as I can tell they were scattered nomadic tribes that once roamed areas of Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia and even present day Israel.
As middle eastern nations were formed the more rational nomads accepted the stability of the nations they were in and the remaining holdouts became the “Palestinians”.
Dispersal is the only way to go.
And in 1967 Israel captured that part of Jordan that the Palestinians were on. And here we stand today.
He may not be ready for prime time, but he is far ahead of Obama in math - at least there really are 57 countries to have visited.....
“There is a Palestinian state...its called Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
So how does that solve anything?
Jordan doesn’t want them and they don’t want to be in Jordan. If they did go to Jordan it just means Israel has a new aggressive enemy with a lot more territory.
Currently Jordan isn’t attacking Israel and isn’t supporting attacking Israel.
