As always thank you AB for doing this thread and thank yon commenters for providing insight with the commentary.

Singing at the 10 am mass this morn but will return to join in. All is on DVR.

I am interested in this Israel thing as President Obama has pulled out all the stops. This administration rides on the all-encompassing power of the US presidency, not from some sort of international respect for the brilliance of Obama and his president-whisperer-Valerie Jarrett.

The UN threatens to condemn Israel, go to hell what a bunch of nothing-burgers. Now you know Jarrett put such a motion into action. And the European union threatens nasty stuff to Israel.

All because a nothing-burger became US President and that is the most powerful position in the world.

This thing with Israel might just be the step too far that we all hope Obama will make.

But who knows….the attitude by the opposition party and the disgruntled Democrats is to let this guy live out his term and pray he doesn’t destroy too much in the interim.

Meanwhile all our checks and balances built into our government are ignored in deference to political correctness.

Aw bullshit….somwehre out there is a hero and I think he is Bibi Netanyahu.

The TV Sunday News shows are sinking faster (no viewers) then a deadweight anchor thrown into deep water. Watched minutes of CNN & MSNBC this morning and neither have one iota of a clue as to how the real world situation is, and the obvious imploding of “Nutcase” Obama....who is now firmly in “Looney Toon” land!!! The Dmocrat Party will fail & fall with him!!!

We, the USA are getting our heads handed to us across the world and, the Obamabot media and all of our politicians say nary a word to the obvious mortal danger the USA is in!!! SAD!!! But.....just like African-American culture has self-inflicted serious wounds on themselves...but refuse to recognize them, blaming others, the American public is doing the exact same thing!!! Our nation is in deep trouble...but, firmly fully asleep at the wheel!!! Our enemies, all across the world, are having a field day!!!

Say....Americans, all, “How’s That “Obama “Hope & Change” Working Out For you”???

I agree - the lineup sucks. And I don’t even have a TV :)

Seeing as how Ted Cruz is announcing his presidential run tomorrow, seems like he’d be a desired guest. Especially since he’ll be the first declared candidate.

The big news here in Peoria is the downfall of our Congressman Aaron Schock. What a tragedy!

The guy had such a bright future. He began making money in 5th grade. He started his own IRA by age 14. He finished all his required high school requirements in 2 years, but they wouldn’t let him graduate, so he earned dual credits for high school and College by attending community college. He got his BS in finance at Bradley in 2 years. During college he invested in real estate, and setup a franchise business.

While attending Bradley, he ran for school board as a write-in. His ground game was so organized, he defeated an incumbent with 60% of the votes as write-ins. At age 23 he was elected President of the School board, the youngest in Illinois history.

While still age 23 he ran for Illinois house and defeated a four term incumbent in a heavy democratic district by less than 400 votes, becoming the youngest member of Illinois general assembly in history.

When Ray Lahood retired in 2008 Schock easily won the congressional seat and became the youngest Congressman in history at age 27.
His name came up often about a future Illinois Senator, or even Governor.

He was most likely a millionaire even before he went to Congress with all his business savvy and interests. He did a lot of stupid egotistical things like posting pictures etc., but what seems to have been the straw last week that broke the camels back was he padded his expense reports reporting 170,000 reimbursable miles when his vehicle only shows about 70,000 miles. Now the FBI is investigating, and he could go to prison.

Needless to say everyone around here is (excuse the pun) SHOCKED.

The good news is the seat is safe. A special election will be held in July and the most likely successor is State Senator Darin Lahood, Ray’s son. Incidentally, Darin is much more conservative than his Father.

The McLaughlin Group John McLaughlin, Pat Buchanan, Eleanor Clift, Tom Rogan, Mort Zuckerman
Taped: Friday, March 20, 2015
http://www.mclaughlin.com/transcript.htm?id=1056
Issues: Dealing with Syria’s Assad, Republican Budget, Netanyahu’s Fourth Term

Caught the budget part on—Clift said Republicans in house and Senate are going to be worst gridlock ever [How about a President who doesn’t understand basic Economics 101, Eleanor? Remember statements like ‘profits, now is not the time for that’, Eleanor?] also Clift says there’s more to take from the rich, well why not 100% then Eleanor? The trade off in high taxes on the rich has been jobs, jobs, jobs, just what the Democrats promised with their stimulus, yet never delivered.

Rogan was doing faily well countering Democrat talking points;

ROGAN: And credit to them, they actually care about the future generation of the country.

CLIFT: It’s full of gimmick and hypocrisy.

ROGAN: But the president’s budget is a proud gimmick. The whole State of the Union was a gimmick.

...CLIFT: Takes the case, the president thinks money grows on tree. Why don’t you try to back that one up?

ROGAN: Well, by his State of the Union, that he says he wants all this infrastructure spending and he doesn’t want —

CLIFT: He wants to invest in the country —

ROGAN: We don’t have any money.

CLIFT: And people and education and —

...ROGAN: And austerity has worked in the U.K., which is the big debate.

CLIFT: And austerity has not worked in Europe.

ROGAN: Why is the U.K. growing at the greatest rate in Europe?

CLIFT: Austerity has been a disaster in Europe.

No Eleanor, the disaster was the spending that lead to that hard pill to swallow, Austerity. Boehner should have stopped splurging with the Democrats 4 years ago.

And did anyone see our media, the ‘free press’ discuss what Theocracy is? The whole dealing with Iran is delusional, their not even a free country, let alone an entity to put any trust in.

Obama Praises Iranian Dictator in Nowruz Address, Throws US Allies Under Bus
http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/03/20/obama-praises-iranian-dictator-in-nowruz-address-throws-us-allies-under-bus/

President Obama adds: In this sense, Iran’s leaders have a choice between two paths. If they cannot agree to a reasonable deal, they will keep Iran on the path it’s on today—a path that has isolated Iran, and the Iranian people, from so much of the world, caused so much hardship for Iranian families, and deprived so many young Iranians of the jobs and opportunities they deserve.
