I suggest they take the names of EVERY one of those kids and within the next few years compare it to crimes where guns were involved, then tell me how good that pledge worked. It's an inner city private school for boys. Not so diverse with 1% white, 1% Hispanic and 1% Asian. That pledge will be just as successful as a save your virginity for marriage pledge.

I would bet that virtually every violent thug or thugette in America from the past forty or fifty years was treated to talk from teachers and other well-meaning people about how important it was to be nice to other people and to refrain from violence. It’s sure worked well in the inner-cities of America. Why, they’re virtually crime and violence free. (snicker)

On balance, gun violence is a
GOOD thing!
Otherwise, we would arm our military and police with rolled-up newspapers...

I pledge not to use my firearm on anyone who does not need killing. Don’t attack, rob or threaten me or anyone else in my presence and my gun will no threat to you.

Right. Remember all the "drug free" pledges? Kids today still take them.
How's that working out?
