U.S. President Barack Obama spoke by phone with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday evening, and protested remarks made by the latter during his election campaign against the establishment of a Palestinian state and Israel's Arab citizens.
Obama did not accept the explanations Netanyahu provided during an interview with NBC, in which he backtracked on some of the statements he made during the final days of the election campaign.
According to a senior White House official, Obama told Netanyahu that the U.S. will need to reassess its options regarding the Israeli-Palestinian peace process in light of the prime minister's new position rejecting Palestinian statehood.
Netanyahu's remarks against Israel's Arab citizens were also brought up by Obama during the conversation, the official said. "The President made the same points in private that the Administration has been making in public," the official said.
On Election Day, Netanyahu made a number of statements in which he "warned" against the mass turnout of Arab citizens, who, he said, "are going to the polls in hordes."
Obama's use of the terminology "reassessment" in his Thursday conversation with Netanyahu is highly meaningful, bringing to mind the "reassessment" of American-Israeli relations that former U.S. President Gerald Ford spoke of in 1975 in light of Israel's refusal at the time to pursue American peace-making efforts in the Middle East. The Ford Administration delayed arms shipments to Israel for five months and removed its diplomatic protection of Israel at the United Nations.
On Thursday, the Obama White House spokesman, Josh Earnest, hinted at the practical implications of the current U.S.-Israel crises, making it clear that the U.S. will reassess the diplomatic support it gives to Israel.

Obama has been looking for a turn against Israel.
When it didn’t happen on its own he precipitated a crisis by sending his Dirty Tricks team to Israel to overthrow Netanyahu in the Israeli election. When that didn’t work he decided to fall back on Old Reliable - Playing The Race Card.
That works to a degree because his True Believers are stupid enough to believe that mid-east Arabs are a different race than mid-east Jews.
Obama has also been trying to create a reason (excuse) to publicly take action against patriotic Americans.
He wants an open uprising or rebellion - one that he can use as an excuse to take action - disarm us, declare us to be terrorists, throw us in camps, declare Martial Law.
He will create some sort of crisis and take whatever unconstitutional action against Americans that he can get away with.
So far he has gotten away with everything he has tried and he has almost 2 more years to complete his Fundamental Transformation of America.
he knows to do that he will have to remove or de-fang the opposition and he is showing himself to be more brazen every day.
Well, I think many of us here know Gerald Ford was infinitely more agreeable to have as a President than the current “Bozo”.

According to our employees, the US Congress, treason doesn’t exist when it comes to radical Islamo Democrap Presidents. I truly believe that our Congress now is so incredibly inept, that if Obummer went on national TV and beheaded a Jew they would STILL not do anything. Oh there would be outrage, people taking to the streets in protest, the media would put it on their headlines for months, every news channel would call for his impeachment and arrest, but I honestly believe they would not do anything. They would drag their feet for months and let him serve out his term. They would probably do something when he left office, but while in office? No way.

It’s remarkable and amazing that this idiot thinks his opinions are so important to another head of state. Bibi needs to tell him “you’re not the boss of me” and then tell him to grow up or get lost; his choice.
All we have to go on is what SOMEONE in the WH said obozo said..to make it look like he really got tough. He knows Bibi could break him in two if it came down to a match between the two of them. On the other hand, most cowards are pretty brave over the phone.

They ought to be firing bills at Obama one after the other, the kind they know he will veto, & make him look even more like a petulant child.
Congress ought to pass resolution after resolution in support of Israel & denouncing Obama’s hostility toward its democratically reelected prime minister.

Unfortunately, rather than let it go unsaid, O turd uses that as a platform upon which to rain down insults and half truths against him in an attempt to get his way, his way or the highway as usual. What O turd does not understand is Israel is not going to just roll over and allow his sworn enemy to gain the complete upper hand in a drive to wipe them out. I'm with you. But I've lost hope that the GOP leadership will do anything meaningful to challenge BHO. He only follows the law when it pleases him, disobeys the law when it is convenient. We are indeed slowly morphing into a de facto dictatorship.
