Gowdy asks Clinton to turn over email server for review

The chairman of a House committee investigating the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi has formally requested that Hillary Rodham Clinton turn over her email server for an independent review.

[Snip]

Gowdy said that while Clinton "is responsible for causing this issue" by using a private email server, "she alone does not get to determine its outcome."

Congressional investigations the past 6 years aren’t worth a bucket of warm spit.

Wouldn’t it be a relatively simple matter to scrub the original hard drive(s) on the server of any incriminating emails, then replace the hard drive with a new hard drive which would only contain the ‘reviewed’ emails? Then they could say that some disk problems caused them to replace the original drives.

So many lies they could tell. The Clintons will never turn over that server with the original drives.

Other than the fact they uncovered this email stuff. Perhaps indirectly, but as a result of the investigation.

Remember also that Congress only has oversight authority - they have no ability to pursue any criminal charges, that’s an executive branch job.

He should drive up to Chappaqua in a black Suburban and tell her one or the other is going in the back of it: her server or her ass!

This can provide help for cases already in the regular courts where there are real consequences for perjury and obstruction

Hopefully, this colossal blunder puts the final nail in the total myth of Hillary’s smarts. LOL!

Media driven from the start simply because she said so, “Hillary is the smartest woman in the world”, and the phrase “Smart Power”, that she coined first, will be laid to rest.

Hillary is can not run for president. She is simply amassing money, until the bell rings, but she can not run.

Ask, hell! Demand that she turn it over. Doesn’t do it - throw her lard butt in jail until she agrees. Charge - obstruction of justice, impeding an investigation, withholding evidence, (you add ....).

Heck, being old, fat AND ugly is reason enough to lock her up.

I certainly hope something sticks. These two are the most corrupt people on the planet. They are not as idealistic as they are greedy/power hungry. Their positions ebb and flow with political polls to help ensure they remain in the oligarch class.

With all respect. Not true. The congress can vote to hold in contempt. If they choose to enforce contempt charges, they can order the capital police to make an arrest.

Ask?

Pretty please?

Are you going to “ask” her to testify under oath?

Talk. Talk. Talk.

Gowdy had better be specific about what he wants.

Does he want the current server or the one used when she was SoS? Same for the storage & backup systems.

If HRC has something to hide then the old server is a melted pile of metal & plastic or 1000 ft. down in the Atlantic.

Gowdy would have better luck asking the Russians or Chinese for a copy of all of the emails on the HRC server.
