Obviously not my primary concern, open carry is. ;)

But I do pay a little attention to Texas stuff like the supercollider.

I expect I'm wrong about who was pres when it was cancelled. FR is a good place to get corrected.

Looks like we have Open Carry past the Tx Senate. Do you figure that SOBStraus will work out a way to sabotage it in the house?

IOW, can he keep it from reaching Gov. Abbott, who has already said he will sign it if it reaches his desk?

FWIW, I've said many times that, tactically, I prefer concealed carry in most social situations. But, I do feel that I should be free to remove my jacket, without being treated as a criminal...

I expect I’m wrong about who was pres when it was cancelled. FR is a good place to get corrected.

I checked and the SSC was officially cancelled Oct. 21, 1993 but there was a vote to pull the plug in the summer of 1992 (when 41 was still in office) but the Senate saved it. Reagan started the project in 1987, projected cost of $4B, soared to $11B when cancelled. I was sad just like when Ares was cancelled in 2010, so short-sighted.

And as a side note, Black Hawk Down was Oct. 3, 1993.
